Safira nodded. She knew her mate was right. She couldn't force Bayzil to like him. Especially after she was the reason he lost everything. The situation was what it was. There was only so much she could do.
As they walked back to the main packgrounds, Damien could not help himself. He was curious to know the thoughts of his mate. If he had been in the same situation, knowing that Bayzil had a hand in the pain Safira suffered, he would not have been as kind.
Hell, he might not have let the old wolf walk away alive.
"Don't you hate him? Not even a little?" He asked as he walked alongside her, their footsteps in sync after a while.
