Safira caught up to her.
"They mentioned merchandise just now. Were they planning to sell my mate?" She asked with furrowed brows.
With the equipment used, Safira was fairly certain this was not the first time they had encountered a werewolf. There could be others who were trapped.
"Your mate?" The woman looked at her in confusion.
Safira glanced over to Damien, who was resting.
"Oh right," she understood Safira was referring to Damien, "Ah yes, yes they were. My comrades and I work for them on commission. They hired us as extra help."
Safira folded her arms, deep in thought. The young woman looked at her intently. The silence was deafening as she began to wonder if Safira was going to kill her or let her leave. She didn't dare to ask either, in fear of incurring her wrath.
She had seen what Safira could do and knew well enough she was not someone to mess with.
"Are there others, like us, that are being sold?" Safira asked.
