After Yunyun filled up Hou Yan about what happened during his absence, it had him shocked.

The information was found in an ancient relic that talked about a war called 'Ancient Divine War'. It mentioned how the world before had millions if not, billions of cultivators. Ranging from the lowest cultivation realm to the highest that is known on this world. Though it didn't mention the realms above Void Shattering realm it hinted that there used to be some who had powers greater than those who had attained the highest level in Void Shattering.

Back in thousands and thousands of years ago, a huge tower erupted from the soils of the Profound continent. Many found the phenomenon weird and tried to explore the tower, but to no avail, they couldn't find the entrance. They even tried to break in with force but that didn't work.

Those who had strength greater than Void Shattering peak level didn't even bother with it as they didn't find it interesting. Years later, the tower increased in size and became wider than before. It took up thousands of acres of land.

This intrigued the interest of those sleeping dragons as they had never seen a tower that can change. They still didn't take any action against the tower, which they would later regret. If they had destroyed the tower from the first day it popped up with their extraordinary strength, then, what was about to come wouldn't have happened.

3 years of the growth of the tower, an entrance appeared on the tower. Then, a bunch of creatures swarmed out of the tower. The cultivators who lived near the land were caught off-guard. They were slaughtered without mercy.

The Divine, Sky Cloud, and Profound continent's top experts began to retaliate against these invaders. At first, they were able to massacre the small fries without trouble and lead the citizens to safety. But, after the appearance of 12 old fogies from the tower, things got bad. It got to the point where the sleeping dragons had to wake up from their slumber and battle against these monsters.

It was said that these supreme experts fought against each other and moved their battle towards the Southern Desolate continent. One of the human experts asked 'who the hell are you guys', in which he received a disdain response, 'We, the superior race, Virus.' The battle kept on going for 99 days and 99 nights. The continent was destroyed beyond repair. Billions of people lost their lives due to the battle and the continent earned its name Southern Desolate from this battle.

After the 99 days and nights, the battle finally came to a stop. The human side warriors were able to slay 7 of the generals, but the generals were able to kill the rest. Due to the extensive battle, the generals had to retreat due to the fact that they were now powerless.

The other human cultivators took advantage of this chance when they were most vulnerable and launched a surprise attack. Successfully, they were able to kill the remaining generals and invaders. Unfortunately for the human cultivators, they lost many cultivators.

In order to seal the tower, a cultivator of the peak level of Void Shattering ate a heaven-defying pill and broke through half-step into the unknown realm. With his new profound power, he placed a huge seal on the tower and created a city near it. It would be later known as the greatest city.

Currently, the Virus experts captured 99 percent of the Profound continent in just 10 days but left the port alone. Many had died, but most had been transported to the Sky Cloud continent. Divine Continent wasn't a good place for mortals to live as there were strong beasts that would rip them apart.

He needed to take back all the lands and complete the quest. Looks like Hou Yan was going to be busy soon.

You see, this whole week, I have been contemplating how to end the first volume.

Some options were:

1. Once he completes the main quest, he wakes up in a dark place, and the system tells him that he had just finished tutorial, but that would just be cringy for me.

2. Send him to a higher realm and keep on doing as he did before, kill and rank up.

- I could stop the system part where he kills and earns exp and ranks up and change it to actual cultivation. Where the plot goes a bit more slower and focuses on the generals Xianxia arcs.

3. Merge his soul with the system and similar to 2nd option, enter a higher realm. The way he arrives here is by breaking through the dantian of a certain expert. Note that this expert has to do with the Universal Bestowing technique.
