"What is it?" Ether asked, knowing something was off from his tone itself.
"Marcus's father came to meet my father today. Marcus has come up with a new plan to remove me from competition." Asterion said.
"And what's the new plan?" Ether asked while sitting on the bed.
"To marry Vesta." Asterion said, watching Ether's reaction, who was truly shocked.
"What?!" Ether asked, not being able to absorb this new piece of information.
"And if my guess is correct, it was Vesta who suggested this entire plan to him." Asterion expressed while taking a seat next to Ether.
"But how? When did they meet? Maybe while they were travelling together after challenging me to control those beasts? But Vesta was still head over heels for you. I don't think she would have suggested it back then. But after returning to the palace, you immediately sent her home. Then when?" Ether thought, unable to find the relation.
