“Wait. Now?” Mary raised an eyebrow, as she stiffened for a moment and blinked, shivering from the cold.
“Argh! Come inside, at least wait for me to change” Her teeth chattered with a slight, embarrassed blush.
Only now, she didn't notice herself and her nightgown. This was rude and unintentional.
“Of course” Kristen nodded with a slight nod and walked with her into the living room.
Mrs. Melody, who was sitting on the sofa browsing a magazine, looked up at her and gave a calm smile.
“Mom…” Mary took Christine’s hand and stepped forward.
Perhaps because they were from the same country, it made a difference, and a sense of belonging when living in the dormitory, abroad.
“This is Kristen, do you remember her?” She said, with a broad, flushed smile.
Mrs. Melody furrowed her brows thoughtfully.
"Ah, she came to my birthday party last year" Mary puffed out her cheeks with an expectant look.
