chapter seven:The mood

Ring Ring. Ring

"Hello purity guess who I saw at the mall the mall today" Emma loud and cheerful voice sound through the phone.

"Hmmm let me guess "purity pause for a second and laughed.

"Purity why are you laughing just guess".

"Even a lame person will know that for you to be this happy you must have came across that church rat Beaty and gave her exactly what she deserves".

Emma giggled and said "oh purity you see why I say you are such a sweetheart and you know me the best".

"So tell me exactly what happened"purity said laughing along with Emma.

Emma begin to narrate the all story and by the end of it all they were already laughing so much that their eyes were already glittering with tears.

"Ah Emma you did so great but instead of telling the stupid salesgirl to kneel and apologize why didn't you tell that bitch to apologize instead I mean it won't hurt for the senior to pay for her junior's sin right".

Purity said and they both burst out laughing.

"Purity! purity!where is that useless daughter of mine"Mrs Don yelled looking round for her daughter.

"Hey Emma is like I heard my mom's voice,talk to you later bye"purity said and hunged up the call with Emma and went out the small pavillion by the side of the artificial lake at the back of their house and start walking to the direction she heard her mom's voice.

"Oh here you are, come with me"Mrs Don said and dragged purity into the house and sat her down on a couch.

"Purity what were doing over there just now"

"Mom I was on the phone with Emma just now"

"You were on the phone with Emma"Mrs Don asked looking at her daughter.

"Mom my friend Emma"

"Oh the Ford's family's daughter "

"Yes"

"Purity listen to me James us back"

"James is back!"purity shouted with her eyes shinning.

"Hmm James is back I just got off the phone with Mrs cliffs and she said that he went a date with Beaty"

"What!"purity shouted and few seconds later she went drastically from being shocked into rage.

"Mom how dare that bitch Beaty go on a date with my man"purity turned to see her mm looking at her in disgust and was taken aback.

"Mom why are you looking at me like that did I say or do something wrong"

"Purity James literally don't even know that you exist and you are not doing anything for him to notice you talkless of him making you his woman "

"But mom I..."

"Shut up purity James has been back for some hours now and you won't even know if I didn't tell you,so tell me is this the attitude of someone who is serious "

Mrs Don said and stood up and started walking towards the staircase but turned towards purity who was still in a daze and said "and purity it's either you marry James or you get out of the Don family because I won't watch you bring disgrace to this family by marrying someone beneath us so get your game on"

Mrs Don said and begin to go upstairs to her room.

Purity was seated on the couch in a daze trembling because she knows that her mom meant each and every word she said because their is nothing more important to her mom than their families reputation and her status in the upperclass society.

Beaty has being trying to sleep but can't sleep and ended up rolling on her bed wrapped in her bedsheets like a mummy.

"Ahhh!!! James you bastard you can't even talk properly why do you have to kiss me did I permit you"

Beaty screamed into her pillow.she kept on rolling on her pillow and ended up going to work with a panda eye and in a very bad mood.

"Hi miss Beaty"greeted the receptionist at the front desk.

Beaty shoot her a murderous look and the receptionist ended up having goosebumps all over.

"Hehehe I guess she's not in a good mood "the receptionist muttered awkwardly on seeing Beaty entering the elevator.

Beaty reached her office on the top floor dropped her bag arranged her desk and schedule for the day and stormed off to the CEOs office.

Knock. Knock knock

"Come in "James masculine voice rang out

Beaty stormed in about to rash out on James and let out all her frustration from the previous night on him but on seeing his cold face she deflating and start swallowing nervously.

"Emma sir your schedule for the day"she said,her hand already sweaty.

"Hmmm"James looked at her and replied indifferently, completely different from his self from the yester night asking her to marry her.

Beaty cleared her throat againamd James looked at her and asked "miss Beaty are you having a cold"

"Guy no am fine,am fine sir"

"Then go on "

"Oh you are going to the Dives lab by 12 noon at check the progress of the our new project with them,after which you are going to lunch with the Greg's family miss by 2:00pm and you are having dinner with you father and uncle Charles at 8"

"Ok you can go"

"Oh"Beaty said and left.

James at the closed door and smirked shaking his head "so cute"

Beaty was about going out for lunch quickly before leaving with James for the Dives company laboratory and heard an argument coming from the front desk.

"How dare this whole campany belong to my man so who are you to stop and what stupid appointment do I need to come visit my man"

"Miss please am just doing my job don't make things difficult for me"

"What stupid job are you doing blocking me from seeing my man"

"What's going on here" Beaty asked on getting close to the two.

"Oh isn't it Beaty or what, whatever I don't care just tell this lowlife to get out of my face I want to see James"Annie said scanning Beaty from hard to two as if she is looking at an item.
