"Bomboclat! Mi followers yuh kill? Evil forest, mi purify yuh today!" The Jamaican God's voice boomed across the sky, filled with rage. His thick accent echoed with the rhythm of the islands, his words colored by fury. Hovering high above the evil forest's core, he was determined to avenge the death of his followers—those who had devoted themselves to the religion of Gaza and had perished within the depths of the cursed forest.
The Jamaican God raised one finger toward the sky, channeling an immense and ominous energy. Slowly, a giant sphere of dark matter began to form above him, pulsating with raw destructive power. Its size dwarfed the landscape below, an attack capable of wiping out entire countries.
But before he could release the devastating blow, thick tendrils of black mist, like octopus arms, emerged from the forest floor. They moved with terrifying speed, twisting and curling upward, reaching for the Jamaican God. His eyes widened in shock as the dark mist coiled around him and the massive sphere of energy he'd summoned.
"Wha gwaan?! No!" The God panicked, struggling against the mist as it constricted around him like a predator catching its prey. The mist began to drain the energy from the dark sphere, sucking it dry until it vanished, leaving nothing behind but a dark, empty sky.
"No, please, mi beg yuh! Mi still too young!" The Jamaican God pleaded, his voice trembling with desperation. He was 5,000 years old, yet his fear made him sound like a frightened child. But mercy was not an option. The black mist didn't care for the God's age or pleas. It tightened its grip on his body, draining his divine energy until his once powerful form shriveled like a starving man, leaving him a hollow shell. The Jamaican God's limp body fell to the ground, lifeless.
Meanwhile, just outside the core of the forest, in the inner core, Kit Mi Kai stood stunned, his mind spinning in confusion. He couldn't comprehend the scene in front of him. Since when do I have two grandmothers? he thought, his heart racing.
The two old women stood before him, their presence unsettling. One of them, slightly younger and dressed in colorful, tattered robes, chuckled softly. "He has your eyes... well, half your eyes," she said, her voice raspy but filled with amusement.
Without warning, she blew into a horn shaped like a cow's horn. A portal swirled open before her, crackling with energy.
"I am afraid I must leave early, my love. Please, don't be too hard on the boy, mwaa," she said, planting a gentle kiss on the forehead of the other old woman—Kit Mi Kai's grandmother, Kat Mi Kai.
Before stepping through the portal, she tossed the horn to Kit Mi Kai. "This is my gift to you, young one. I would have liked to get to know you better, but there's urgent business I must attend to. Next time we meet, I promise to give you two hyenas."
The portal shimmered, and with a final glance and a strange, mischievous smile, the old woman disappeared, followed by the eerie laughter of her two hyenas. They gave Kit Mi Kai strange, unsettling looks as they vanished, leaving him alone with his grandmother, Kat Mi Kai.
The cave became eerily silent, the only light coming from the flickering candles that lined the cave walls. Kit Mi Kai swallowed hard, unsure of what to say or do. His grandmother's presence was overwhelming, and her gaze was sharp and judgmental.
"Do you know what that horn does, boy? Blow it. Let's see," she commanded, her voice cold and unfeeling.
Kit Mi Kai nodded hesitantly. He lifted the horn to his lips and blew into it, but nothing happened. No portal, no magic—just silence.
"Mmhh... weak," his grandmother spat, clearly unimpressed.
She paced around him slowly, her steps deliberate. "That horn is a Tacatan Tool, boy. It can create a portal to anywhere in the world, nay, the galaxy. But to use it, you need strength, will, and power. The fact that you can't even open a simple portal shows how weak you truly are."
In a flash, faster than Kit Mi Kai could react, she was standing in front of him. Before he could comprehend what was happening, she delivered a sharp headbutt straight to his forehead.
"Ouch!" Kit Mi Kai shouted, stumbling backward, clutching his head in pain. He hadn't seen it coming at all.
"You're a disgrace to our ancestors! What kind of thing did my son raise?" Kat Mi Kai barked, her voice dripping with disappointment.
Kit Mi Kai, dazed and in pain, began to think of his parents. Images of his mother and father flooded his mind, and tears welled up in his eyes. "Papa... Mamma..." he whispered, his voice soft and filled with sadness.
Suddenly, a powerful punch landed squarely on his chest, sending him flying into the cave wall. The impact left him gasping for breath, his body aching from the force.
"Stop sniveling like a child and fight back!" Kat Mi Kai's voice rang out, sharp and unforgiving.
Before he could recover, she grabbed him by the ear and yanked him to his feet. She leaned in close, their faces nearly touching, her eyes burning with intensity. "Fight back!" she roared, pulling back her head for another brutal headbutt.
"Fight back! Fight back! Fight back!" she screamed, each word punctuated by a violent headbutt. Kit Mi Kai's head throbbed with pain as he endured blow after blow, his vision blurring from the impact. The world spun around him, and before he knew it, everything went black.
Kit Mi Kai awoke to the sensation of being carried. His body swayed with each step, and the air around him was suffocatingly hot. He squinted through half-closed eyes, barely making out the sight of his grandmother's feet moving steadily in front of him. She was carrying him, tied up with ropes, over her shoulder like a sack of grain.
He looked around, disoriented. They were standing atop the rim of a volcano, its molten lava bubbling below, casting a fiery glow on the scene. His grandmother, now wearing a vest-like garment that revealed her muscular arms, marched with confidence and purpose.
She stopped abruptly, and without even glancing at him, spoke. "Oow, your parents died... I'm sorry, dear. I know what you're going through. But at least you have me. I'll take care of you..." Her voice was sarcastic, mocking. "...is what I would say if I were retarded. If that's what you expect to hear, then you wish. I'm not the type to cuddle you and pamper you."
Kit Mi Kai's heart sank as he realized the severity of his situation. He glanced down into the bubbling lava below, his stomach churning with fear.
"I will turn you to stone," Kat Mi Kai said coldly, her voice emotionless. With a swift motion, she threw him over the edge of the volcano.
Kit Mi Kai screamed as he plummeted toward the searing heat below, his mind racing. "No! Don't do this! Please!" His cries echoed in the air as he fell, his eyes wide with terror. Just before he hit the molten lava, he caught one final glimpse of his grandmother's face. There was no regret, no sadness—only the same cold, merciless expression that had haunted him since they met.
"Monster..." Kit Mi Kai thought, his jaw trembling in fear. He had never encountered someone so heartless, so utterly devoid of compassion. And as the fiery heat enveloped him, his world went dark once again.
