Although Tang Hongyu had her bias about this matter, she'd thought things through thoroughly and carefully.
For example, how he very rarely indulged in her desires but got angry if his desires were not obeyed; how he only satisfied his lust when they had intercourse and very seldom satisfied her that ended up with her comforting herself; how he flaunted her as a successful businesswoman in front of his coworkers as if she was just a trophy wife to show off; and also a lot of things that raised red flags on her head.
Long ago, she was blind to this because she was fascinated by his superficial charm. She'd fallen for him because he looked like a respectable, dependable, and hard-working man with how focused and serious he was with his study and goal.
Love made people blind and stupid, and love had blinded her and made her stupid. Because of love, she couldn't see that Jiang Haishan wasn't a respectable and dependable man she fooled herself to believe.
Jiang Haishan might be a hard-working person. However, he was hard-working because of his selfish ambition for a high status that made him superior to others around him.
After experiencing how it felt to be a woman who was appreciated by her partner, she realized that Jiang Haishan never truly appreciated her.
He only saw her as a tool.
Sociopath was the correct term to describe that man.
Tang Hongyu couldn't help but despise that man deeply. And this was surprising because she never harbored such a deep resentment for someone else.
She was, after all, a cheerful and outgoing woman. Even what she had to experience in her unhappy married life couldn't snuff out her core personality.
Her desire to get rid of that man from her life had consolidated. She'd planned to divorce him after returning to Earth.
Just thinking about their marital status made her skin crawl and gave her the urge to vomit in disgust. She didn't want to be known as the wife of Jiang Haishan!
In her mind, the only man who was worthy of her was Chen Fan!
Only him!
She was his!
He was the center of her world!
She'd always wondered what it meant to love someone to death, but after spending time in the past several months with Chen Fan, she finally understood. She truly loved him to death!
Just imagining a life without him terrified her to no end. Such a life would be meaningless to her.
"Darling, I love you," Tang Hongyu said lovingly.
"I love you too, dear," Chen Fan replied with a similar feeling.
The longer Chen Fan spent his time with Tang Hongyu, the less his passion to acquire a harem. And yet, a part of him was unwilling to let go of this ambition.
It was like a curse manifested from the unfulfilled dreams and desires of the countless unlucky men of culture who could only dream to be in Chen Fan's current position that in their passion they were driven to write a wish-fulfillment fanfiction!
'Hah, let's put this problem aside… I think I'm still affected by her charm and the satisfaction of finally venting all of my repressed sexual desires. I will think things carefully after I calm down a bit.'
After thinking that, Chen Fan focused on Tang Hongyu, who was gazing at him lovingly. He returned her loving gaze with his own.
Their hands slowly drew closer and then clasped together. Then, they were immersed in each other's comforting presence.
They felt like nothing else mattered in the world as long as they had each other.
They stayed like that for some time.
"Darling, it has been a whole week, right?" Tang Hongyu suddenly said.
"Yeah." Chen Fan nodded.
"Do you want to do it?" Tang Hongyu asked.
The corners of Chen Fan's lips lifted. "Sure. Let's move to our bedroom."
…
Morning sunlight was illuminating the room, entering through the window. Chen Fan and Tang Hongyu were hugging each other's naked bodies. They were awake.
Chen Fan looked at Tang Hongyu's beautiful face. She was lying on his left arm. His left hand, which wasn't slept on by her, was caressing her back.
On the other hand, Tang Hongyu was drawing a circle on his right chest while laying her head on his left shoulder. She looked relaxed, just like him.
"Ten whole days, huh? Your endurance has improved."
Tang Hongyu stopped drawing circles on Chen Fan's chest after hearing his words. She pouted and gave him a blaming look. "And you're as insatiable as ever." She grumbled.
Although she could accompany Chen Fan for ten whole days, she was still overwhelmed. Meanwhile, Chen Fan looked like he could do ten times longer.
In the end, she blacked out for a couple of hours before waking up not long ago.
"It can't be helped. My lovely wifey is so charming, after all," Chen Fan replied with a grin.
"Darling, do you have any plans to hook up with other women besides me?" Tang Hongyu asked.
Chen Fan blinked. The topic of the sudden inquiry surprised him. Then, he looked at her curious eyes. He couldn't see any doubt, worry, or fear in those eyes.
Tang Hongyu asked due to pure curiosity. It was honestly surprising.
Chen Fan began to think. 'Am I going to hook up with other women as well?'
In truth, Chen Fan was not sure. His uncertainty about his plan to get a harem was something he had put aside because he was at a loss.
"What do you think?" He asked back after being silent for a few moments.
Tang Hongyu lifted her eyebrows, an alluring move that she unintentionally did despite her lack of intention to do so. She was surprised that he asked back instead of giving a clear answer.
"Well…" she paused and became contemplative momentarily, "To be honest, I have some problems with it."
Chen Fan nodded.
"So?" Tang Hongyu lifted her eyebrows.
Chen Fan followed her behavior, but he looked confused.
Tang Hongyu rolled her eyes. "You haven't given me an answer yet. Don't pretend to be confused, mister!"
Chen Fan smiled wryly. A few seconds later, he said, "I'm not sure."
"Huh? How so?" Tang Hongyu gave Chen Fan her undivided attention.
"Because I love you, beauty." Chen Fan gave Tang Hongyu a loving look and a small smile.
Tang Hongyu rolled her eyes but had a small smile. "Love you too, beast."
Chen Fan's smile turned into a grin. He liked having fun banter with her. And it looks like she also enjoyed it.
"Anyway, enough stalling! Why do you feel unsure?" Tang Hongyu steered them back to their previous discussion.
Chen Fan raised his eyebrows. "I already answered, didn't I?"
"Huh? When?" Tang Hongyu asked in confusion.
"I feel unsure because I love you," Chen Fan answered.
"Oh." Tang Hongyu gaped, and her cheeks turned pink.
With an amused smile, Chen Fan cupped Yang Hongyu's chin and closed her mouth. "Be careful. Insects can get into your mouth."
Tang Hongyu came to her senses and lightly slapped Chen Fan's hand.
"Hey! What was that?" Chen Fan protested while pretending to be indignant.
He wasn't serious with his pretending. If he was giving it his all, Tang Hongyu would think that he was angry for real. That would ruin the moment.
Tang Hongyu snorted. "Humph! You were making fun of me!"
"Honestly, I was helping, but what did I get? Oh woe me, my lovely wife is hard to please…" Chen Fan shook his head and held his head dramatically.
Tang Hongyu rolled her eyes. "What a drama queen…"
Then, she fell silent and put on a contemplative face. Chen Fan also became silent.
'I want to know what's going on in her head, but she'll find out if I try to read her mind. My telepathic skills weren't enough to enter her mind without alarming her,' Chen Fan pondered silently.
Chen Fan returned to his senses when Tang Hongyu sighed and started to speak. "I'm happy that you love me so much. However, you must not hold back for my sake. Get more women if you want to do so."
Chen Fan blinked and then looked at Tang Hongyu with a strange look. "I thought that you wanted to have me for yourself," he said in confusion.
Don't get him wrong, he was happy that her permission would help him with his dilemma. However, he wouldn't mind dropping his plan for a harem if Tang Hongyu didn't approve it.
"Oh, I do. I want to have you all for myself," Tang Hongyu replied with a complex gaze and wry grin. Chen Fan waited for her to continue after she paused to sigh. He could sense her resignation. "But, I feel like I'm not enough. I'm just holding you back."
When Chen Fan saw Tang Hongyu's melancholic face, he felt uncomfortable in his heart. He didn't want her to show that kind of face in front of him.
"No. You're not," Chen Fan cut off in a hurry. "You're a wonderful woman, dear. Don't look down on yourself."
