Subclass

There was a sudden sound of released air pressure in the room as a strange capsule in the corner of the room opened.

Out of the capsule came a boy that looked about 16 years old after his reduction in stature. There was an apparent shock in his eyes as he looked at the oversized full body suit that had fit just hours earlier. As he stood there and marveled at the phenomenon there was a sudden sound from downstairs.

"Breakfast is ready"

As Michael heard his mother shout he ignored his oversized full body suit and changed into a pair of sweet pants and a surprisingly loose T-shirt.

As he made his way down he immediately noticed that he was the first person there. He had two other siblings but, there was only in a blue moon that they all ate breakfast together. He had not seen his older sister for days even though they lived in the same house and his younger brother was often to busy playing games to arrive before Michael was done eating.

When he made his way to the dining table his father was already seated and had begun indulging in his food. When Michael father began noticing the awkward silence that came from him eating before anyone else had seated, he attempted to lighten the mood with a question.

"How is physics going, gotten back your test yet?"

"It is winter break, the teachers don't go door to door handing back the students their tests"

It is the same ice breaker that his father had used for their last fifty conversations. He had a physics teacher that always took a larger bite than he could chew giving them multiple graded assignments and never handing them back. Because of this whenever his father wanted to start a conversation with him he began with the lates physics test.

"How school going in general then?"

Jumped in his mother as she attempted to lighten the mood. His mother was a teacher who worked at the same high school where he went which led to some awkward interactions at school.

"It's going fine."

Was the only shallow reply that Michael could come up with. Michael was unsure of what he wants to study which only resulted in him choosing the hardest courses which had come to bite him in the ass.

The rest of the meal was eating in a long awkward silence with occasional shouting from his brother while he was playing a new game.

When he finally finished his meal, he hurriedly washed his dishes and went back to his room and opened forums to see if he could find anything. While he was surfing the forum he found three articles that seemed interesting.

How the stat point system works.

After having played with my friends for a few hours I noticed the difference in stat points that we gained. While we both leveled up, he gained a total of 10 stat points for each level while I only gained 7. After asking around I found out that one's level up stats are connected to the initial stat points or "potential points". If you had 5 or more "potential points" in an attribute you would get a stat point in that attribute for each level. If you have less than 5 you would not get a stat point in that attribute. The free attribute points is the sum of all your "potential points" and then divided by 10.

How to get equipment

This game has a unique way of gaining equipment. After having grinded the rabbits for almost 3 hours I had not gotten a single piece of equipment, so I went to the beginner village to find someone that sold it. That's when I came over the blacksmith that sold recipes for armor instead of armor. When you have bought the recipe he begins to sell ores and rents a blacksmithing room to you. After having used up all of my money on attempts I got this.

{Crude iron boots

+ 3 defenses

+ 20 health points

A failed pair of iron boots made by ArrogantWeeb that is barely holding together. }

Spell quality

When I first began casting spells I immediately noticed the spell quality. The first fireball that I fired got the Horrible quality which reduced the damage by 40 percent. After some experimenting I noticed that the spell quality is affected by the calmness of the caster. I noticed that when an angry rabbit ran towards me I either got a Horrible or poor quality spell but, when I attempted to use a spell in the middle of the forest without any monsters around I got the mediocre quality.

What got him the most intreated was the second and the third article. He had farmed the rabbits for a few hours, and he had not gotten a single equipment drop that could help increase his efficiency. So getting a money efficient subclass that could make equipment was essential for him. The third one was also very interesting as he had a large problem with losing 30 percent of his damage do to his "poor" quality. Now that he was aware of the problem, he could begin to calm himself a bit down and attempt at getting a few mediocre quality spells.

The rest of the posts on the forum talked mostly about how real it feels and how it is a secret project from the government to brainwash people. As he decided that he did not want to go down that rabbit hole he decided to join the game again.

As he got into the pod once more the familiar loading screen popped up once again. This time the loading did not take nearly as long as the last one and he got into the game much quicker.

When he finally spawned in he began walking with resolution towards the blacksmith getting ready to make some new equipment.

"Sorry, you don't have enough constitution to become a blacksmith."

Were the words almost lead him into despair. He had walked resolution full towards the blacksmith and wanted to get a recipe to learn blacksmithing, yet his strength was once again brought up. But he could not let that make him give up, he remembered that most games also had a tailor as he began walking resolution full once again looking for the tailor.

"Sorry you don't have enough strength to become a tailor."

{Congratulations, player has acquired the title: The one that can't get a side job}

{Title: The one that can't get a side job:

Given to those who are unable to find a side job and have been rejected twice based one's physical stats.

Effect: Gives the user an 10% increase in experience gained from side job activities.}

The system notification was the last drop that brought Michael over to the edge of insanity.

"F*CKING!!! SYSTEM"

{It has been noted that the user has been cursing the system a penalty has been delivered.

-1 constitution}

{The user has no constitution to subtract so player will be rendered immobile for 10 minutes}

Suddenly Michaels entire body stiffened and he lost the ability to speak. He fell down the hard street with a completely stiff body that could not be moved an inch.

{Sudden minigame event:

Objective: Hit the immobile player with as many rotten tomatoes as possible

Rewards:

+ 10 experience points for each tomato that hits.

+ 10 copper coins each for tomato that hits}

Michael could only watch in horror at system notification as it spawned a casket full of rotten tomatoes a few meters away from him. Suddenly the eyes of the players around him suddenly turned into the eyes of hungry beasts.

Ten minutes later there was a large mound of pieces of tomatoes that were suddenly split open as a being wrestled his way out to breathe. This being had a human shape but, the ragged breathing and the anger in its eyes told one elsewise.

As Michael stood up his priority was to get out of there to save him from the extra embarrassment. As he attempted to find a way out of the crowd he managed to get into a random store at the side of the road.

"Do you want to be an enchanter."

"Yes…"

Michael couldn't hear wat the store owner really said and instinctively answered yes in hope the he would not get kicked out.

{Congratulations on getting the new subclass enchanter:

An enchanter is often thought of as a prestigious profession as it is the most expensive profession. To begin one's career as an enchanter one is going to need expensive tools to be able to enchant something. There is also need of expensive items that can withstand the pressure of an item. Because of this, enchantment is a dying profession known as a money pit.
