Onde Dorotte and Trajaan began to work together, things began to shift in the Academy. As agreed upon, Trajaan was required to also aid Dorotte's apprentice, Jayden. In all honesty, Trajaan thought poorly of Jayden despite his Level 5 talent.
To him talent was useful, but Jayden had little use to Trajaan. Because even if the boy became a Magi, if he used Grime Water he would be worthless.
'I will have to find a way to get rid of him or get Dorotte to possess him.'
Either way, Leylin received their full support which was what mattered. That would already have been big, but they decided to include Kroft, Leylin's Potion Master. As he was the guy teaching Leylin, they wanted to include him in their deal.
When they came to him, Kroft was not expecting it and much less what they offered him. They showed him Leylin's skill in Alchemy which left Kroft shocked. The skill at which Leylin worked was that of a seasoned expert.
Not of a newbie, but seeing the talent of Leylin, he too agreed to the deal Trajaan made with Dorotte. He may be an Alchemist Magus, but he also wanted to improve. As long as he did not do anything he would never move past the Rank 1 Magus. When Dorotte and Trajaan brought him into the deal he also wanted to be turned into a Psyker.
Though only Trajaan could do this and he had requirements. First, they both had to fully support Leylin in becoming a Magus and in his alchemy. They fully agreed to this point and with the three of them in alliance, they made a contract through the Trials Eyes.
The way Magus made their deals was so they would not backstab each other. They agreed on many things, with some involving Leylin and others involving the three of them. Both Magus would become Psykers, but Trajaan had no timeline.
As for Trajaan, he wanted Magi spells and formations which both Magi gave him. The more seals, runes, and binding spells he got the better prepared he would be to seal Daemons into weapons.
But once their deal was complete, Kroft would give Leylin potion recipes and teach him all he knew, while Dorotte would supply him with the ingredients. Meanwhile, Trajaan would be the muscle as he was the strongest of them.
He was even stronger than the headmaster, a Rank 2 Magus. He had met with the man to discuss his stay here. He had made a contract with the Trials eyes where he had to make sure that the Academy was safe for the next 10 years at least.
That was fine to Trajaan as he had extorted some more support from the old Rank 2 Magus. He was given access to the Headmaster's personal library which was a jackpot of spells and especially research into souls and how to bind them.
And he also promised to turn the Headmaster into a Psyker as well which seemed to draw in Magi. As for Leylin, he had come to see how the deals Trajaan made for him had sped up his progress to unseen levels. He did not have to hide his talents as Trajaan would protect him from everything.
And Dorotte and Kroft had put their full support behind him and many things within the academy over the course of just a year. With the support of two Magus and Trajaan, Leylin had no fear and revealed his Potionry talent/
His potions quickly took the place of Merlin's, Kroft's other assistant in popularity. They sold on the Black Market for around 30 Magic Crystals from just the Basic Ones. 5 Crystals went to Kroft, Trajaan, and Dorotte per sale while Leylin kept the rest.
That was still 15 Magic Crystal and he could make around 10 potions from 1 Magic Crystal worth of Material. Meaning he quickly became the richest Acolyte in the Academy as he raked in Crystals rapidly.
In that year, Leylin rose to become a Rank 2 Acolyte and he had even begun to experiment with some Magi-level potions given to him by Kroft. As for Trajaan, he used his Meditation Technique every night and his strength had risen by the day.
The rune in his mindscape began to spin and glow in purplish golden light. His daily meditation had increased his strength greatly. His mind was much stronger and the Daemons of the warp were not having any luck corrupting him.
Currently, he was in his lab with two Grand Knights slaves he had tasked Dorotte to buy for him. He did not even bother to learn their names as they would not remain alive for very long.
He also had 1 regular Knight he planned to use as a sacrifice. They were all unconscious on a table and fully nude. As for their armor and weapons, they were placed on a nearby table. As for his lab, he had warded with several layers of runes and seals of different types. They all glowed a golden purple as he always used a mix of Warp Energy and Mana in his work.
He was only willing to try after he had spent a full year growing his power to where he was now. He had learned much about binding human souls so he was trying to create Daemon Weapons and especially Daemon-possessed slaves.
He was not willing to try it with his armor or precious spear until he was sure that the process was 100% successful. Before he would dare begin he had some things to do. He walked over to the two Grand Knights to begin.
He placed his hands on both Knight's heads and directly branded their souls with both his psychic might and through a special enslavement rune. Once this was done, he was ready to begin the next part.
Now that he controlled their souls, he needed to control their bodies as well. He reached over to a nearby desk and he grabbed a knife. He dipped the knife into a glowing blue potion that crackled with lightning. He had given Kroft his Thunder Sprite blood and asked him to create a powerful regent to make runes.
Kroft had made this potion he named Sprite's Service to do just as Trajaan wanted. Once the knife glowed a bright blue he brought it over to the first Knight and he began to carve into the man's face with the steady hand of the Neurosurgeon he had been.
With each stroke of his knife, bloody blue binding runes took shape from the face, neck, chest, arms, and legs, he left no part uncovered. His mind was like a Supercomputer so he had combined several binds and runes to create this special full-body seal.
When he was done on the first Knight he placed his giant hand over the chest of the still unconsciousness Grand Knight. He sent Warp Mana mixture into the full body runes which caused them to glow even brighter.
'Body and soul have been fully bound.'
With that done, he did the same thing to the second Grand Knight which took him around 1 hour for each. When he was finished, he walked away from his two hosts. With them bound to his will, he would now draw out a Daemon from the Warp.
He gripped his Apollonion Spear tightly as he was prepared to kill the Daemon if he lost control. Good thing he had a weapon that could permanently kill Chaos Daemons just in case.
Once this was done, he kneeled down and removed his helmet. He brought the potion over and dipped his knife once more into the potion. When the blade glowed once more, he channeled pure Warp energy and Mana into it to carve a giant symbol on the ground.
It was a copy of his mind rune, the Star of Chaos on the Chest of the Imperial Aquilla. When he was finished, he backed away from his work as he was ready to begin. He removed his helmet and placed his Knight sacrifice in the middle of the Chaos Star. With a single thought, he snapped the neck of the Knight and drew his soul out.
He then dragged the soul into his hand and began to burn it slowly causing the Knight's soul pure agony. As the soul screamed in his hand he began to speak and channel massive amounts of Warp and Mana into the circle.
The spell glowed a dark purple with a powerful outline of gold. He walked over and stood in front of the dead body while the soul screamed in his hand. He held the soul out over the circle as he began to send the blood-curdling screams of the mortal into the slowly opening Warp Portal.
The energy of Chaos began to flood out, but he was ready for it. His powerful mind reached into the Warp portal as he knew that using the pained screams of a soul not bound to the warp would work wonders.
Daemons were surging like Sharks to blood, but his psychic tendrils of power wrapped around two Bloodletters. The Daemons did not even have a chance to resist before his mind ripped them out of the Warp and into this new world.
He closed the portal right after, with ease. Once he had these two Daemons here, he did not wait and he forced the two Daemons into the bodies of the Grand Knights. Once the Daemons had entered their new bodies, they instantly began to thrash.
As for their Daemon Blades, they clattered to the ground which he would use very soon. Trajaan did not bother to move as he saw the two Daemon-possessed Grand Knights begin to scream. The Daemons were trying to free themselves, but instantly the binding runes and seals he carved activated binding them to their bodies.
And as their souls were also enslaved to his will, there was truly nothing the two Bloodthirsters could do. They reached out to try to claw him, but with a single thought, the runes all over their bodies fired to life causing powerful Warp Lightning to torture the two Daemons.
"Don't resist. You are mine from now on."
Instantly the two Daemons fell to their knees, as he had enslaved them. Trajaan raised his right and pointed at the two Daemons.
"Now, let's get to know each other, my slaves."
From his hand, a potent stream of Dark Purple lightning covered in a golden glow began to torture the Daemons. But the binds he put on them were not even damaged.
The howls of the Daemons echoed in his Labatorty for hours until the pain became far too much for even a Daemon and they told him their True Names.
"Ajshr'thsta'sntnajht'afadnbas and Fhdjajfh'shfhjfrs'snnhanfb'sjtha."
When he spoke the Daemon's names, he instantly had full mastery over them. He controlled the souls, bodies, and names of these two.
"Excellent. Now, place your armor and do nothing else until I say so."
The two Daemons did as he ordered as now they truly could not go against him. Once they were fully armored, they stood side by side while glaring at him. Even by knowing their true names, Daemons would still plot against him.
They could never be tamed after all. For the time being he saw how the Grand Knights's skin was beginning to glow a deeper shade of red. Their nails were growing and so were their teeth.
That was just the start as the Daemons would begin to warp the bodies he had given them for their own use.
"Walk to the corners, and stay there silently without moving."
The Daemons did so without hesitation or words. He could allow them to speak, but he wanted silence. He picked up the Daemon Blades they brought over as he had some work to do with them.
Already his experiment into Daemon binding had succeeded.
'I am not even a Magus, and it was relatively simple for me. But binding higher ranks of Daemon will be much much harder. I will not try unless I become a Magus, but a small army of my own Daemon hosts would not be a bad thing.
