The inkwells

Adam looked carefully at the floor full of mud and puddles, as he walked very slowly. The important thing now was not to get to the stairs quickly. The main thing now was not to come across anything on the road that will kill them before they get there. So checking for any weird footprints on the ground was crucial, the kids were tasked with looking back and to the sides as they walked hand in hand with Adam.

Luckily they were quite close to the stairs, since they were in hexagon 3 of the 1 middle floor, and they didn't come across anything strange on the way. However, more than once the boys fell hypnotized by the red flowers on the walls and had to stop walking when they blinked, leaving the corridors in darkness. But Adam already knew the trick from what he learned in the booklet house.

Reaching the stairs, Adam was surprised that there was only a marble wall instead, trying not to lose his cool he walked over and patted the wall.

Luckily a marble head began to form on the wall, it was the general, and he looked at the young people in a dazed way and asked:

—What do you do in these areas? Aren't they too young to be looking for clues in these parts?

Adam, happy to see that the general is still there, commented with emotion:

—A criminal kidnapped these two children in this area and I went in to try to rescue them. But I don't know how to get back, could you help me rescue these poor boys.

The general looked at the two children with concern, especially at their robes, and with even more concern he murmured:

—These two boys are from the nursery... Are things that bad?

Adam didn't understand what he meant, but if the general didn't give him useful information, he could only go to his godfather. But he wanted to get to the safety of the stairs before he started talking to him.

—Do you know how I can rescue them?—Adam asked worriedly.

—I have orders not to tell anyone how to escape from this site—the general answered, looking at the three with pity, but his orders were absolute for him.

—Can we at least use the stairs?—Adam asked fearfully, now it was only up to his godfather or to try his luck with the bookshelves.

—Yes, come in, young hero—the general answered, sinking into the marble and showing the spiral stairs instead.

Adam ushered the children in and sat down on one of the steps. It has been almost a year since the young man used the biography of his godfather. He hadn't felt it was very helpful in solving his current problems, so he took out a pencil that was kept in a pocket designed for it and explained the situation to her.

His godfather did not seem to realize how much time had passed and replied:

'Don't worry, you are only on the other side of the mirror of the hexagon on the 2nd and 4th floors.

You just have to cross it again, and you will be safe again. To enter this area you have to break some rule and to get out you have to go to the mirror.

But be careful, these floors are used to traffic merchandise. Also, the creatures of the reverse world can be terribly dangerous. On the first wooden floor there were only 'inkwells' in my time, and it probably hasn't changed. But it was rumored that there was another beast that was even worse'

Adam watched her go out and smiled happily; the three were not far from the mirrors. There were only two mirrors per floor, and they were on absolutely every floor as well as the stairs. Hesitantly looking for more details, he did not want to have to stop again to ask on this site: 'What are the two creatures and what do I do when I get to the mirror?'

His godfather replied:

'The inkwell is a pretty big and ugly beast, when you hear bubbles bubbling around one of the corners you have to touch a wooden plank and stand still until it passes through corridors: don't let go of it for anything!

He'll notice you, and you'll be stained with his ink, but it's not dangerous if you knock on wood before he sees you: The key is to hear the bubbling before he sees you, but with your karma it'll be easy enough: since the moans of the Damn they don't affect you that much

I don't know what the second creature is, and it just rumors. But run to the stairs if you hear something that doesn't make bubble noise, and it's coming into your hallway.

You only have to cross the mirror, literally, that is: get inside it. '
