The next couple of days passed with Irene focusing on the internship and Ilyan continuing his search for the doctor who could treat his mother.
Every night either of them would call the other and they would talk for a while. Ilyan avoided touching Christina's topic and Irene kept mum taking the silent hint.
That night when Irene was returning home, she sensed that someone was following her. Her work had demanded to stay until late in the office and the cab that she had booked stopped working in the middle of the road.
The cab driver had assured her that he would send someone else to drop her home but when a long while passed but neither another cab came nor he picked up her call, she decided to walk, hoping to find a taxi on her way back.
