A two-front assault kept Zero on his toes, keeping his eyes on the gun-firing speedster while avoiding multiple sniper shots that ricocheted off the air itself.
'If one of Veil's shots land and Ace catches me, I'm done. If two of Veil's shots hit, I'm done. There won't be any opportunity to recover if I'm killed instantly. I'm dancing with my life on the line here–but, they're doing the same,' Zero thought.
Zero leaned back, using his sword to slice one of the ricocheting bullets, simultaneously avoiding a burst assault from Ace. It was a mixture of mid-ranged and close-ranged combat from Ace, who used his own guns to propel his movements, sweeping in with flying kicks.
Zero lifted his leg, bringing it down just before the eccentric gunner closed in—
