The Sailors didn't falter because they knew that death to them was already decided so, why not embrace it bravely than to chicken out. They better drag some Cavern Cats with them to the netherworld, they will not go their alone - everyone among them had decided. If they were cultivators of other attributes in the other planes, they would have already wetted their pants or pasdsed out due to the overwhelming force of the cats but the cultivators of the dark attribute always had a screw loose in their minds. Their personalities were already corrupted and deviated after absorbing too much blood energy from this place, in that they didn't feel being alive anymore, they feel like they had became the undead themselves. They didn't jitter - the only regrets they had was that they will no longer enjoy their lives and that they will miss their families dearly especially the ones who had already married and had several kids.
