Slavery

The remaining thief roared as he chocked the bodyguard's neck, trying to desperately twist it to cause him to die. However, the bodyguard didn't seem to have any hesitation at all, as his granite hand tried to penetrate the chest of his opponent. Eventually, both died at the same time. The thief had his heart pulled out, while the bodyguard had his neck twisted. The thief's face was filled with resistance and shock at the sudden appearance of the bodyguard, but the bodyguard's dead face was expressionless.

Adrian shook his head. "This mind slavery ability is quite powerful. The slave is completely enslaved, though this teen's use of it is quite wasteful." He thought to himself.

Meanwhile Alice looked at the dead bodyguard in shock. "He was so heroic! I wonder who he is? He gave up his life to save us!" She said with a sad look. As usual, the police arrived late on the scene and recorded the testimony of the witnesses present there.

After the incident, Adrian and Alice walked out of the market. "Are you okay?" Adrian asked Alice, who looked visibly shaken.

"...I thought that once I awakened my ability, I would be able to protect myself. Yet, I was so weak." Alice replied after some contemplation.

Adrian chuckled. "You are being too hard on yourself. Your electric control ability has a lot of potential. You've just recently awakened."

"Senior, you saved me back there. I didn't even see you move earlier!" Alice said as she remembered Adrian's sudden action.

"Haha, necessity is the mother of invention!" Adrian joked.

Alice eyes sparkled. "Senior, I want to thank you for saving me. You must come home to have dinner at my place."

Adrian looked at Alice weirdly. "I don't think that's okay."

Alice shook her head. "Senior don't reject me. I'll call my mom now to inform her."

Adrian could only nod. "Okay then."

As the two walked away, the other teen in the market looked at the two with peculiar eyes. His puppet had been destroyed by this frivolous incident and he had to find another candidate. The girl with the electric ability wasn't bad, but her ability was clearly newly awakened. Once he made her a slave her ability wouldn't be able to improve and she would be a useless puppet. However, the other individual was dangerous.

Adrian didn't seem to display any ability, but the teen had noticed his peculiar gaze towards him, which made him paranoid. With such a dark ability as his, he couldn't let his secret be known to others. After having thought about this, he quietly enslaved the thief who had been knocked unconscious by Adrian's brick smash before he left the scene.

The second thief, who was being escorted away by the police suddenly exploded in strength, killing several officers and health professionals, before jumping away into a dark alley way, amd disappearing.

When Adrian amd Alice arrived at a ordinaryand simple looking house, Alice announced. "Senior, we are here."

Adrian nodded. "I live not far from here." Following Alice, he left his shoes out as he entered the simple house only to freeze when he saw an anxious looking young man pacing around the corridor.

"Alice, you are bringing random men into the house now?" The young man said in anger, before he froze as well.

"Brother, can you stop being so disgusting!" Alice frowned before she turned towards Adrian. "Senior, don't mind my brother."

Adrian didn't respond, only his face showed a bizarrely contorted expression. This sis-con brother of Alice was none other than the disgraced masked vigilante Gray Ninja, or Quill.

Adrian struggled for a good minute before finally controlling his emotions and formed a smile. "No offense taken."

Quill looked at Adrian dumbfounded, as sweat began to appear on his forehead. Alice's mother walked out of the kitchen and greeted Adrian, before slapping Quill.

"What's the matter with you? Why are you sweating so much? Go serve our guest some sherbet!" She scowled while mumbling to herself how she gave birth to a son with such low emotional quotient.

On the dinner table, Alice explained what happened to the two of them in the market and how Adrian saved her. Alice's mother thanked Adrian before looking at Quill with a sad expression as if having given up all hope in him.

"Look at Adrian, he is so responsible! Why can't you be responsible and helpful in society? You even have an ability! You roam around all the time doing who knows what!" She lectured her son, who gloomily nodded.

Adrian, knowing the actual situation was struggling to control his laughter, when his eyes suddenly glinted and his vision inverted again. He felt the familiar energy of the enslaving ability from just outside the house and he turned his gaze towards a window, before his vision reverted to normal.

After dinner, Adrian thanked Alice and her mom, before glancing at Quill with serious eyes.

"I'll send this young man off." Quill announced to the house. Alice rolled her eyes, snorted and returned to her room.

Adrian and Quill walked towards the entrance. "Be careful." Adrian said. "A malicious person followed your sister and me back to this house."

Quill's eyes flickered and his face hardened. Adrian nodded at Quill. "Don't make an action until I tell you to."

Quill raised an eye. "Did you awaken an ability?" He asked as his doubts increased.

Adrian smiled. "Sensory type."

"No wonder. Alright, I'll do as you say." Quill replied.
