[Donald's POV]
"Enough, Lillian! Today's affairs are clearly beyond our involvement. Leave with me now. His Majesty and the ministers will handle everything."
Though Licia spoke with a hint of reluctance, she left no room for negotiation for Lillian.
As she stood up, she looked at Lillian, whose face was wet with tears, "If Austin were truly innocent, he wouldn't have been so eager to push you towards me just now. He must be well aware that if these matters came to light, I would be the only one able to save you from Donald's hands..."
"You should appreciate his well-intentioned efforts," Licia said emotionlessly.
She seemed to despise Austin, who had remained silent the whole time in the hall, and after casting a contemptuous glance at him, she then stepped out of the Eastern Shine Palace.
Her maids followed, seizing Lillian, and despite Lillian's distraught struggles, took her directly out of this place of dispute.
I bet Licia must be infuriated with Austin by then!
