At the moment, I was simultaneously relieved and scared shitless. I was happy that Makai was here, and behind him I could see Doc standing in the doorway. However, I was scared and angry because that woman had made me come. They had drugged me and made it so that my body couldn't resist the urge and I needed to climax with her. That was wrong, it went completely against who I am. And I cheated on Makai. That was the worst part of it all.
"Makai!" I called out for him, trying not to let the anger and sadness take over me.
"I'm here, Ocean. You're safe now." There was even more anger in his voice than what I felt coursing through me.
"He is not leaving." Avisa snapped at Makai. "He is a Siren. He belongs here in the city, and that means that he must do what I say. I am the leader of these people." She was sounding a lot angrier and crazier than I ever thought she would.
