Ryu contacted Hisoka and asked him to meet up at the Task House. It didn't take him much time to reach the place, Hisoka was already there munching on something.
Meeting up both of them entered the building. As soon as they did several pairs of eyes focused on them. It would be weird if nobody noticed them.
Ryu had stunning features that would make any woman fall for him. As for Hisoka..... he too was stunning just in a different way. That weird hairdo with those weird tattoos on his cheeks made him stand out.
They ignored the attention they were getting and walked upto the counter. A beautiful lady was seated behind, she immediately offered her services seeing Ryu.
" Hello, please give me a list of Tasks from Two star and Three Star."
The lady immediately did what he asked. Ryu smiled lightly when she handed her a Silver symbol. Saying thank you Ryu used his soul sense and found nearly three thousand Two Star Tasks and more than two thousand Three Star Tasks.
Sorting through the list his eyes fell upon a Three Star mission.
" Destroy Demon Dog Bandits.
Reward : 50 High Grade Spirit Stone "
" This looks good. What do you think? "
Hisoka shrugged. He didn't give a rats ass about what the mission is. Ryu ignored Hisoka and accepted the Task.
Stepping out of the building Ryu and Hisoka found several figures blocking their way. All of them had scars over their bodies and a fierce expression.
" Oi! I saw you accept the 3 Star Task. Take us with you! "
Ryu rejected immediately.
" Sorry, we already have a team."
" Puh! You have two people and you call that a team? Hahaha, that's the worst joke I have heard. Look at your scrawny body, you have no chance of living through the Task! "
" Look at this clown. He looks so weird, what's with that tattoo? Anyway he doesn't look strong."
Ryu knew why these thugs wanted to team up with them. Both him and Hisoka's clothes have been modified, and they were no worse than Immortal Armours. Their plan was simple team up then kill when noone was around.
Hisoka smiled brightly hearing those last words. He stretched out his arm and made a twisting motion. Shockingly the men laughing before them went silent, all of them clutched their necks as if something was twisting it. They tried their best to scream but only coarse breathing came out.
The passerby's were scared. They didn't think anyone would be courageous to fight inside Merchant City much less six against six Immortals.
Hisoka still had that crazy smile on his face. The men were now scared, they wanted to beg but couldn't. Just as the last of their life was about to leave them a voice brought them back.
" Young man, I think that's enough."
Hisoka was surprised. He found his Qi being dispersed and the men freed. A man wearing grey robes stood before them, he didn't give out an overbearing pressure. If anything he seemed like a normal person.
Seeing the man before him Hisoka's face showed an even brighter smile.
" You are strong."
The other man just smiled. Ryu who was silent upto this point showed a serious expression. He couldn't sense this person till he was close to them. And he felt danger from him, Hisoka must have felt the same otherwise he wouldn't have stopped.
" We will meet again."
" If fate wills so."
Hisoka turned around and walked away. Ryu smiled towards the man and left as well. The man watched the receding figure of Hisoka and Ryu with strange emotions moving through his eyes.
*********
" That man.... he could have killed us."
" Atleast an Immortal King or even stronger. But I sensed no malice from him, on the contrary his Qi seemed bright and pure. Enough of that, we will meet him one day. Right now let's focus on our Task."
Ryu and Hisoka went through the city gates and walked towards northeast direction. Their destination was the furthest point of Wilderness. That place seemed to be the location where Demon Dog Bandits appear often.
With their speed it only took them three days before Ryu and Hisoka reached their destination. Looking ahead Ryu found a small town, it wasn't even that large but he saw many Warriors walking in and out of the town.
" This should be a temporary stop. Let's go in, if we want to locate them we need info."
Walking into the town Ryu and Hisoka sensed several strong presences but refrained from scanning any further. When a Warrior walked past him Ryu stopped the man.
" What do you want f**Ker!? "
Ryu ignored him and gave a Low Grade Spirit Stone. The man's attitude changed immediately, he politely asked.
" How can I help you? "
" We need information about Demon Dog Bandits."
" So you guys are here for them as well."
Hearing his words Ryu asked.
" There are others? "
" Yes. There is two other teams going after them. Among Three Star Tasks, destroying Demon Dog Bandits has considerable returns but at the same time it's way too difficult. That's the reason why they live to this day."
The man didn't delay long. He told Ryu where Demon Dog Bandits would show up often and left happily with another piece of Spirit Stone.
" Guess our goal is nightmare valley."
Hisoka and Ryu looked towards the wilderness. Far in the distance a piece of darkness covered the forest. That place was famous among Warriors, many high class Demon Beasts appear there. It is a place to earn a living but only for the strong. For the weak that place is a nightmare.
