A Vampire System

My MC Draig is back in another start struck adventure. After many requests on the reboot I have decided to bring back the original with a few minor differences. Draig is a troubled youth chosen to receive a class, thinking it was his moment of glory he was distraught to find out he had received a Vampire Class. Now as the city turns against him how will he carry himself, will he become a Monster like the people think or will he rise above it and become their greatest protector. Alas it is hard to tell with a heritage like his, so come along and enjoy the adventure that inspired my contracted novel System of a Vampire.

Quests and Daily Mission

Draig stormed out of the Work Station angrily, the words of Heaven's Fist Master Thomas had really struck him. He had only wanted to be like the other Guilder's and do what he could to protect the normal populace, he wanted to do good like the rest of them. So why would they go out of their way to deprive him of that opportunity.

'Humans have a hard time accepting new things' thought Draig with a sneer, if that was the case then he should be going insane at the moment. After all he was the one who had suddenly become a Vampire.

'Doesn't matter, it's probably for the best that I don't lean on them for support anyways' continued Draig with his inner monologue as he walked through streets of the outer edge of the city where he found the people a bit more accepting as they actually waved to him.

'At least these people aren't so biased' thought Draig as he smiled and returned a few of the waves, it did a good bit in resolving his anger as he entered exited the outer edge of the District.

'I should see what my daily mission is, I haven't really had a chance to do one while working with the mage' thought Draig as he opened his menu and selected the appropriate tab.

'Daily Mission: A Vampire thrives on the essence of other beings to become stronger. Drain one creature to unlock a Passive Ability' read Draig as he looked a bit squeamish at first but then reaffirmed himself.

"Not like it matters if I do or don't" muttered Draig thinking back to how the people treated him.

With that thought he entered the Beast lands without entering too deeply so he could avoid any serious danger.

Draig looked at the first of the quests he had taken and saw that it listed out the need for Goblin removal in order to keep the surrounding forest clear of the pesky creatures.

'Looks like it will be a two for one special' chuckled Draig as this would go hand in hand with his daily Mission.

The young Vampire didn't really have to look hard for the stupid creatures as they weren't too inconspicous leaving traces of themselves without fear but it was actually the loud ruckus they were causing that alerted him to their location.

Ducking into the surrounding forestry Draig snuck up as close as he could and found it was a small camp of Goblins, and it in fact had a shaman among them. Seems this was a branch off from a larger group attempting to establish themselves, it would be better to nip this in the butt before it became a serious issue.

That in mind Draig charged in using his superior stats and clobbered the lesser goblins swiftly with harsh blows and greater speed showing the difference in strength clearly.

Even the shaman hadn't been able to do much as the youth had hit him first in order to keep him from doing anything while he dealt with the others. Looking down at the creature Draig gulped as he felt a bit more disgusted now that it was actually at this point but still he persisted letting his spite for his treatment drive him.

'They want a Vampire, I'll give them one' was the mantra in his head as he bit down into the disgusting flesh of the creature and felt his fangs begin a fierce suction as the blood began to drain from the creature.

'Congratulations: Mission drain one creature, reward Passive Ability True Vampirism.

True Vampirism: Allows host to gain traits from their victim in order to grow stronger, number of traits salvageable determined by strength of victim.' announced Draig's system as a min menu appeared before his eyes.

'Pick a trait. True Alchemy: Potioneering Intermediate Curses Intermediate Mana control'

Draig looked at the menu in wonder before his eyes seemed to glimmer, it was a well known fact that the alchemist class failed to replicate the full effects of the Goblin's alchemy.

'A monster's superiority made apparent again' thought Draig as it seemed an obvious decision for him as he selected True Alchemy as the trait he wanted and suddenly a rush of knowledge entered his mind causing him to stir a bit and his smile to grow even brighter.

'So that's how it works' chuckled Draig as he felt grateful for his Daily mission reward already but then he noticed his blinking stats tab.

Selecting it he saw he in fact had one BP, which opened up yet another door for him.

'It seems that a Monster class is only going to have advantages in the long run. Where as the other's need experience to level up and earn AP, I only need to drain a victim and I will be able to boost my stats.' noted Draig as he proceeded to collect the Goblin's teeth in order to complete his Quest.

'It seems to easy though... I wonder if there is some kind of backlash if I were to drink too much' wondered Draig as he looked at the next Quest paper he had.

It seemed Draig had found something to enjoy in being a Vampire but only time would tell if this would prove a boon or a burden.
