Everly who was gazing at Sheitan could not help but part her lips in shock. "You didn't have to open the lid…completely."
Sheitan dropped the cup on the table and looked at her, smiling. "This is good. Such a shame I never had it."
Everly peered at him and suddenly found herself almost chuckling, but recalling who she was with, she immediately composed herself.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?" she questioned.
Sheitan took a deep breath and sat up properly on the chair. He stared at Everly for a few seconds and softly smiled.
"I'm sorry," he apologized abruptly. "We are sorry, your mother and I."
Everly was at a sudden loss. She gazed at Sheitan and averted her gaze from him. "What are you sorry for? Why isn't she here if she is actually sorry?"
