Chapter 8

Jake saw a girl in a white dress with long hair, facing her back toward him. He approached her and asked, "was it you?"

She replied without turning back to him, "Yes, It's me. The one whom you're in love with."

"How do you say I am into you?" he questioned her.

"If you're not. Maybe you don't dream of me often."

He nodded, accepting his feelings for her. He continued, "you wrote that you love me the most. Was it true?"

"Indeed."

"Then, why can't you show your face?"

"If I reveal my identity, do you accept me whomever I am without hesitation?"

"Perhaps. I am grateful that I came across you, who always supported and had faith in me. I promise. Even if we didn't have a future together, I hope to be your best friend forever and need your support as same as now."

"I trust you." She turned around to face him, and he was stunned to see her. It was none other than Susan. He approached her and looked closely at her without a blink of an eye to confirm if she was indeed Susan.

She stepped forward to get close to him and pecked, saying, "I love you." He was delighted to see Susan as his secret admirer whom he had liked from the first-day meeting with her in the college. He cherished his moment with her and kissed her in return.

A voice woke him up from his dream. He woke up and found himself in Susan's home, sleeping on the couch. It was Aaron who woke him up. Standing beside him, Susan asked Aaron, "have breakfast together."

"Sure."

Jake's gaze follows Susan wherever she goes and sees Katie helping Susan prepare breakfast. Upon noticing Jake staring at her, "Get fresh and have breakfast." Jake nodded to her. Susan was busy arranging the breakfast table.

Jake was lost in his thoughts while focusing on Susan, 'why did I dream of her as Susan? Until now, I had seen a blurred image of her whenever I dreamed. But his time, why it as Susan? Am I deluding myself by hoping to be her with Susan, whom I started feeling something for from the day I saw her? I'm confused. Why do my intuitions direct toward Susan? Was she her?'

Aaron sat at the breakfast table and told Jake to join them. Jake got off the couch, freshened himself in the washroom, returned to the living room, and settled for breakfast. Aaron and Katie are helping themselves. Katie asked Susan, "Aunt wasn't at home?"

"She went to visit her friend and will return soon." Susan served Jake.

Katie wondered, 'When Susan got this close to Jake, she allowed him to crash at home last night when aunt was not home.'

After finishing breakfast, Aaron and Jake bid Katie and Susan goodbye, "See you at college tomorrow."
