The following day, Mr. Wilson visits Aaron and conveys his birthday wishes by hugging him, "Happy birthday, dear son."
"Thanks, Dad." Jake greeted him, "Good morning, uncle." He nodded and sat in the living room on the sofa with Jake, chatting about preparations for Aaron's birthday party tonight.
Meanwhile, Katie bragged inside the apartment, seeing an unlocked door with flowers in her hands, and hugged Aaron tightly, wishing him birthday greetings, "many happy returns, dear." Kissed his cheek.
Jake coughed as they displayed their affection publicly and romancing before Mr. Wilson. Katie panicked, noticing Mr. Wilson was in there, and instantly relieved her hands on Aaron.
Mr. Wilson asked her, "How you're doing, Katie?"
"I'm good, Sir," Katie replied nervously.
"No need to be formal when we are out of the college. Call me uncle."
"Thanks, uncle." Hesitatingly.
Before leaving, Mr. Wilson reminded Aaron about his weekend meeting, "I have to leave. Enjoy the party. Don't forget about our next meeting."
"Sure, Dad." Aaron walked him out and returned.
Jake signaled to Aaron to ask about Susan. Aaron asked Katie, "When was Susan arriving?"
"I asked her to tag me along. She refused, saying she was busy and would attend the party tonight. Maybe she had a date plan with Darren?" Katie said while arranging her flowers in the pot on the table in the living area.
She continued, "I want her to be happy with the one she loves. I never expected that she already had someone in her heart, kept secret from me. I found it by accidentally reading her diary."
Turning to gaze at Aaron, Katie said, "Do you know she was in love with Darren for over a year."
Jake was stunned to hear Katie's words. He thought to himself, was she loves Darren in real?
Aaron noticed Jake's worry and asked Katie, "Are you sure it was Darren?"
"Of course. She mentioned in the dairy that she had a crush on him when he saw him for the first time. Also, she wrote that she went to see his match last year, which I canceled at the last minute. She kept his black jacket safe in her wardrobe to return it to him, which was given by him."
Jake's mind was blank for a moment, lost in his thoughts. He remembered that his secret admirer once mentioned his jacket was with her, 'Was it Darren? Or it's me?' he left to his room, got her letters from the drawer of his study desk, and showed it to Katie, imploring her, "Was this Susan's writing?"
Katie was amused to see Jake's letters from Susan and asked him in confusion, staring at Jake, "So, was it you? not Darren."
Jake laughed in happiness to hear Katie confirming it was her writings. Aaron was confused and asked Katie, "Are you sure it was Susan's writing? Jake previously tried to match her writing with these letters. He confirmed it was not Susan's writing."
Kaite replied to Aaron, "Susan was ambidextrous. She can use both hands."
Jake screamed joyfully, hugged Aaron, and thanked Katie by holding her hands for making him clear, "Thanks, Katie." He was overjoyed to know the one he had liked since last year was the same girl he was in love with.
Jake hugged Katie and thanked her again, "I always had the same vibes whenever I talked to Susan. Every time, I had a thought in my mind, Susan could be her, my admirer. I was confused all the time, having feelings for both. I made myself clear to be with Susan. Somewhere I had strong feelings for my admirer, which I was suppressed in my heart. Now, I felt relaxed hearing she was Susan. Thank you so much."
Katie pushed him back and said, looking at Aaron, "Is he gone mad?"
Aaron smiled at Jake, " gone crazy with happiness."
All are seated at the dining table and discussing. Jake declared, "I decided to confess to her and ask her for dating."
Katie warned him, "Confess to her if you are serious about her unless you don't." Jake looked at Aaron to convince her.
Aaron took her hand and said, "Give him a chance by trusting him once. He was totally into her."
After Aaron pleased her, Katie agreed and wished Jake "good luck," He thanked her in return with a smile.
