A Kind Hearted Woman

Yvonne nodded her head in appreciation. She believed everything Leon said and she wasn't ready to test his patience.

"Mum..." Ella stroked Marissa's shoulder assuring her that she was okay.

"Alright, I will be hanging around. If she does anything at all that you don't like, just make a little whisper and I will be right back."

"Thank you, Mum." Ella kissed Marissa on the forehead and hugged her tenderly before releasing her.

"And you," Marissa turned to Yvonne, "if you do any stupid thing to provoke my daughter-in-law, then consider yourself in deeper trouble."

"Thank you, Mum," Yvonne said in a broken tone.

"Do not thank me. It is Ella you should thank. She's the one who wants to speak with you." Marissa hissed and walked away.

Ella returned her attention to the trembling Yvonne. She silently observed her for a while and said, "Follow me."
