Rafael waited for the gasp when he held her by her waist and started running. His speed was faster than air. The wind cutting on his shoulders.
He hardly held anyone but whenever he did, they screamed even if they were vampires. But she did not scream like others. He turned to look at her when he found her eyes full of thrill. They had widened and her lips had parted but she was enjoying it.
The cutting of winds and the sound of breeze encoding in their ears. It was a beautiful feeling but no one had ever enjoyed it before. His eyes flickered but he ignored that feeling.
Bella could see the vampires around them. They were running so fast that it felt like they were frozen to their places or moving in slow motion. The thrill of running this way made Bella excited. She looked around with a wide grin on her face. It felt like she could use her powers. She could do anything she wanted. For a second, she tasted freedom on her coarse tongue.
So, when stopping in front of a large palace, Bella frowned. It took her a second to stop herself from complaining. The vampire standing in front of her was not And nor was Luhan. It was Rafael, the lord of the vampires, the one who was killing witches mercilessly. Her one and only enemy.
"This is your new prison." he whispered when he noticed her eyes went cold again. She looked at him with a calm gaze but he could feel hostility hiding beneath them. Her hands struggled to get rid of his grip when he tightened it and his eyes narrowed on her face.
"From now on, your every moment will be decided by me and if you try to play any funny tricks, you will be severely punished, Bella. From now on, I own every word, every inch of your body and every breath you take. I own you." he let her hands go and she stumbled on her feets before stopping herself from falling.
"Am I to serve you on your bed then?" she gritted her teeth and glared at him when he raised a brow. Amused that it was the question that passed through her mind despite the fact that she was standing in the vampire's territory and everyone would assume her as a witch whether she was one or not because of her silver hair.
He held one strand of it and sniffed it. The smell of night flowers filled them and he closed his eyes and kissed it.
"Carving, are you?" he snickered when her face contorted, "but i will decide on that later. For now… you will stay inside." he took a step back and two vampires came out of the door. "Take her to my room and bound her there. Make sure that she does not leave my room." The vampires nodded without a word and held her.
"Hey, I am not a prisoner! Let me go!" she shouted but they did not react as if they were not humans but puppets following the orders without thinking about it until she passed through a long passage and was thrown into a dark room.
But they did not stop at that. They held her and bound her to the corner. She shouted but they did not pay any attention to her. Once assured that she could not free herself, they closed the door and left.
Bella sighed. Her shouting ceased immediately and she looked around with calculative eyes. The room was dark but she could see clearly. There was a large oak bed in the center of the room oozing with masculinity while most of the room was bare.
There was no closet or other belongings that made the room warm. It was cold despite the warm rug spread on the floor and hearth at the corner which had embers left.
Even if she freed herself, there was nothing she could investigate. So, she stayed there. Hoping that Rafael would come for her. Soon, it would be night and he would come to claim his prize.
"I own you!" the words flashed in her mind and she felt a shiver run down her spine but she ignored it and ignored the warmth that had spread with his touch.
He had let her go and had only returned when she faced trouble. A part of her wanted to know if he would have let her go if she did not face any trouble. But she ignored that small part.
If he was that kind, he would leave witches too. But he was killing them and that marked him as her enemy.
Bella could hear the whispers that went loud. Then the door of her room snapped open. But it was not Rafael. It was the vampiress she had seen that day. She had come with Damien and was hugging Rafael.
Diana entered the room and lit the nearest candle. Maids followed and soon the room was full of brightness. Diana's eyes narrowed at tied Bella.
"Who are you?" The voice had hatred and rage that made Bella frown.
"I am not a witch." she announced when Diana laughed.
"Ha! If you had been one, you would have been taken to the dungeon but you are in my room." her room? Bella thought that the room belonged to Rafael. But more than that. There was a dungeon and witches were kept there.
If she had been sent there, she might have saved them. Electricity flowed in her blood and she shivered but others mistook it as fear.
A slow smirk formed on Diana's face as she walked closer,
"Oh dear, a bird fell in the cage. But I end up killing all of them."
