A Shadow's Reincarnation

On a certain train sat a certain boy, with average looks. He had his eyes closed as he dozed off while hugging his bag. Earphones were plugged into his ears, silently listening to the music. Just then, the heavy bass music he was listening to suddenly became heavenly zither music that contained the truths of the Heavenly Dao. The boy’s heartbeat followed the loose rhythm of the heavenly tune for a straight minute before having been jolted awake. When the boy's eyelids fluttered open, it was as if the people on the train heard angels weeping and devils laughing. The Heavens shook in fear whereas the Underworld rumbled with joy. As for this boy’s origin, not even the gods & devils dare find out. _____________________________________ Disclaimers: - Ai pic till I can afford to commission an artist. - This is the 2nd continuation of my Magic Martial World series. - It's paused until I finish my diploma this June 2024. _____________________________________ Discord: https://discord.gg/R7nmUAqm

Hocus Pocus

"All right, that doesn't explain much about the world..."

Prometheus waved his hand at Blake's nagging just as he was about to grumble. " Please be patient, I'm getting there."

Blake became enraged and doubled the spiritual pressure on the titan, forcing Prometheus to tilt his head down. "I've already bowed your head for you. Now say the magic words."

"Hocus pocus!" Prometheus cried out.

"Wrong answer."

Blake fashioned an iron spike the length of a child's arm without blinking. He then stabbed the titan's nape with enormous vigor with the iron spike.

As a result, the iron spike pierced the titan's divine body's defenses and struck into the ground.

And since everything happened within the blink of an eye, Prometheus only began to scream in pain a few minutes after.

"Aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!! You lowly mortal! What have you done to me?!" The titan let out a loud roar.

He was both scared and angry at the same time.

As an actual deity with ichor for blood, Prometheus was famous for being invincible.

No divine weapons nor forbidden magic could harm him in any way, so the mortals of Fropoiane worshiped the Titan as their lord and savior.

That was until Zeus, his cousin, chained the titan up for going against the lightning god's orders.

Nonetheless, Prometheus was soon brought back from his punishment when the titan had successfully refined his near invincible body to a real divine body.

Zeus' storms and waves were rendered useless after that.

Now according to the titan's logic, all weapons, regardless of whether they were made with divine steel or not, should not be able to even leave a scratch on his skin.

So how did a mortal like Blake pierce through his divine body so easily?

This question continued to fuel the titan's mind as he tried to pull out the iron spike pinning him to the floor.

1 hour later…

Prometheus finally calmed down.

He no longer felt angry nor scared, the titan merely felt confused about the whole situation.

'I am Prometheus the Indestructible. I am famous for having a divine body that's immune to swords and spells. Even that old fart Zeus couldn't harm me anymore. So…Just how did this mortal break through my defenses and pin me to the ground so easily?'

The more Prometheus thought about it, the more intrigued he became.

But before the titan opened his mouth to ask, Blake saw through his expression and revealed a look full of satisfaction.

"Despite being dubbed a divine being by the mortals of Fropoiane, you're nothing more than a body cultivator who is a realm lower than me. Although you did manage to cultivate your body to that of a divine being, your actual battle prowess sucks."

"My battle prowess…suck? What does that have to do with my indestructible body?"

"Oh, it means a lot. From the looks of it, you did not know that there was something called external qi back when you cultivated your body."

"External qi? Wait, do you mean the weird fiery energy that my body exudes every time it improves? Was that external qi?"

Blake couldn't help but face palmed at the words of the titan.

He couldn't believe it.

The knowledge of qi and cultivation was almost nonexistent here.

Just how did this useless bag of meat (Prometheus) cultivate a divine body without having any prior knowledge about body cultivation beforehand?

Just this thought made Blake's head ache more.

"So let me get this straight, in this world called Propoiane, the Summer Plane, there are gods and demons, swords and spells, is that right?"

Prometheus clutched his head and nodded. The searing pain from Blake's fist was burned into his head.

"So if there are jobs like knights and wizards, shouldn't there be jobs like martial artists too?"

"There is, but–" [Prometheus]

"But?" [Blake]

"The mortals of my world view jobs like martial artists and monks as burdensome jobs…" [Prometheus]

"Burdensome? Burdensome how?" [Blake]

"Well, to become a martial artist, a person would need to train their body everyday for years before they can endure the hardships they will face when learning martial arts, no?" [Prometheus]

"And is there something wrong with that?" [Blake]

"The mortals aren't willing to spend a fifth of their lives refining their bodies into weapons, more so to spend another 10 years mastering a martial art that would suit them. To the mortals, 30 years of time to become a martial artist is too much for them."

"I see."

With that, Blake removed the iron spike from the titan's neck before he walked back into his residence.

Prometheus didn't know what Blake was thinking, so he didn't dare to move around carelessly.

When night fell, it was only then did Prometheus hear a voice.

'You can see yourself out.'

It was Blake's voice.

"Human– I mean, Great Person. I want to serve you!"

'Denied.'

"Eh? Come again?"

'Denied. I don't want a titan for a dog.'

It was at that moment that a strong gust of wind flew over and lifted the titan up.

Startled, Prometheus tried to muster up some strength to resist the wind.

But he soon relaxed his mind and allowed the wind to bring him far away from the Chaos Clan.

'Since I've already conveyed the gods' message to him, my job here is done. Maybe I should escape Olympus and come work for this young man afterwards. After all, it's always nice to have a big strong tree to lean on to.'

Thinking so, Prometheus closed his eyes as the strong gust of wind brought farther and farther away.

Blake's Residence, Chaos Clan

After dealing with the troublesome titan from Olympus, Blake got onto his bed.

He then sat cross legged and closed his eyes.

Taking a deep breath to calm his mind, Blake placed his palms together and started to circulate his cultivation technique to cultivate.

'Just suppressing a titan like Prometheus isn't enough. That titan is considered weak compared to the other Gods in Olympus. As the Angel Executioner, I must be stronger than the Olympians. So that when they try to find trouble with me in the future, they shall cower before my blade!'

I need a better upload schedule.
