A Second Chance To Be Mine (BL)

"Can we ever be together?" The answer was a NO for Kim Min Jun. Ever since he was 10, he lived with his mother at the Park Estate, helping her out occasionally in her duties as the maid of the Park Mansion. That’s where he met the young boy, Park Hyun Soo, the heir of this Chaebol family, who was cold to everyone around him. However, despite their differences these two became close, akin to ‘best friends’. Gradually their feelings started to grow, but before either of them could muster up the courage to confront their feelings everything changed. At the young age of 18 Kim Min Jun’s mother was accused of murdering Madam Park, Hyun Soo’s mother. He was certain Hyun Soo wouldn’t agree with those accusations and stay by his side, but instead he broke both Min Jun’s Heart and their friendship. After 5 years Kim Min Jun figured out the conspiracy behind Madam Park’s death. Wanting a second chance he decided to meet up with Hyun Soo, only to have him die in Min Jun’s arms. In his last breath Hyun Soo uttered the words, “In our next life, let’s be lovers.” In the next minute, Kim Min Jun died in a similar fashion, only to wake up in the body of his 18 year old self. Fate has given him a second chance. Adamant to change things for the better, he found Hyun Soo and asked, “Will you be my Lover?" ••••• "Why did you do it, Min Min?" Hyun Soo asked with a confused gaze. "You mean kissing you in front of everyone and claiming you as mine!" Min Jun remarked with a grin. Hyun Soo ran his fingers through his tresses, feeling conflicted. "Are you scared to declare me as your lover?" Min Jun pressed. Hyun Soo shook his head and closed the distance between them. He pulled Min Jun in his embrace and captured his lips. "I’m not scared of declaring you as mine, Min Jun. I’m afraid of losing you," he confessed. ~~~~~ "Chaebol" means a Rich Business Family.

Kissed Hyun Soo

How many times have I rehearsed to propose to Park Hyun Soo? I've lost the count. I would have done it a long time ago, but I broke up everything that existed between us. That's why this time I decided to make you mine, Hyun Soo. I don't wish to hold back this time.

Kim Min Jun kept his gaze fixed on Park Hyun Soo, silently waiting for the response that would change everything between them. The intensity in his eyes made it clear that this wasn't a moment of passing whim.

"Don't joke with me!" Hyun Soo blurted out, yanking his hand free from Min Jun's grasp.

He quickly looked away, his eyes flickering with a mix of emotions. His heart was pounding so hard that it felt like it might burst out of his chest. The words Min Jun had spoken were everything he had both longed for and feared.

"Why would I joke with you?" Min Jun's voice was soft, yet there was a seriousness to it that Hyun Soo couldn't ignore.

Before Hyun Soo could respond, Min Jun gently grasped his chin, turning his face back toward him. "Am I not a lover kind of material?" Min Jun asked, his tone teasing but his eyes searching Hyun Soo's for the truth. "I know you have feelings for me."

Hyun Soo's breath caught in his throat. The biggest fear he had about accepting Min Jun in his life was rearing its ugly head. He knew his father—how strict and unyielding he was. If his father found out about them, Min Jun would be in grave danger. He might bury him alive. The thought of it made his chest tighten with fear.

"This isn't right, Min Jun. You know this well," Hyun Soo whispered, his voice trembling as he swallowed hard, trying to push down the lump in his throat.

But Min Jun wasn't ready to back down. His hand slipped from Hyun Soo's chin, and instead, he cradled the back of Hyun Soo's neck, his thumb gently brushing against his skin. "Then, let's make it right," Min Jun insisted, his voice filled with determination.

Min Jun understood the pressure Park Hyun Soo was under, especially with his father's overbearing nature. He knew that asking Hyun Soo to stand up to his father was too much for him right now.

"We won't tell anyone until you become the CEO," Min Jun said softly, his voice steadying as he tried to offer a solution. "But I needed to tell you how I felt. And besides, you've been wanting to get rid of that girl your father tried to set you up with. This morning, you even asked who would become your lover," he added, his gaze softening as the desperation in his voice faded.

Hyun Soo let out a small smile, a hint of playfulness returning to his eyes as he gently took Min Jun's hand before letting it fall to his side. "So that's why you've been teasing me since yesterday," he teased, his voice lightening the mood.

"But you refused to give in," Min Jun responded, a smirk tugging at his lips.

"I didn't know you liked guys," Hyun Soo admitted, his tone more serious now. "You're always so helpful to everyone, even the girls. It confused me."

Min Jun chuckled, shaking his head. "But no girl ever proposed to me. All the proposals were for you," he pointed out, reminding Hyun Soo of the attention he always got.

"I never responded to them," Hyun Soo said, a touch of pride in his voice.

"I know. You've always been loyal to me," Min Jun replied with a satisfied smile. They started walking again, their hands now tucked into their respective pockets, an easy silence falling between them.

"But don't let any girls linger around you," Min Jun suddenly said, his voice taking on a mock-serious tone. "It makes me jealous."

Hyun Soo laughed, shaking his head in amusement. "I think my protector should take care of that," he replied, the playful tone in his voice matching Min Jun's.

They both smiled at each other as they finally flagged down a cab and headed to the amusement park. The day was filled with laughter and joy as they enjoyed all kinds of rides together, from the thrilling roller coasters to the gentle Ferris wheel.

Hyun Soo had never felt this free, this genuinely happy. For once, he left all his troubles behind, fully immersing himself in the present moment, savoring the joy of being with Min Jun.

As the day wore on, they found a quiet bench away from the bustling crowds and decided to rest. Min Jun excused himself, leaving Hyun Soo alone for a moment.

Hyun Soo pulled out his phone and opened the front camera, smiling as he saw himself wearing the cute bear headband that Min Jun had insisted he put on.

"Here!" Min Jun's voice broke through his thoughts, and Hyun Soo looked up to see him holding out an ice cream cone.

Quickly, Hyun Soo tucked his phone back into his pocket and took the cone from Min Jun with a grateful smile. Min Jun sat down beside him, and they both quietly enjoyed their ice creams, relishing the simple pleasure of each other's company.

Once they finished, Hyun Soo stood up and suggested they head back, but Min Jun caught his wrist, pulling him back to the bench. Their eyes met, and Hyun Soo felt a jolt of surprise as Min Jun's thumb brushed against his lips.

"The cream is still there," Min Jun murmured, his voice low and intimate. He pulled his thumb away, but not before licking the cream off it, all while holding Hyun Soo's gaze. Hyun Soo's eyes widened in shock at the bold gesture, his heart skipping a beat.

Quickly, he averted his gaze and stood up again, flustered. "We-we should go. It'll take us at least two hours to get home," he stammered, glancing at his watch to distract himself from the heat rising to his cheeks.

"Ahh, but before we go, let's check out one last place," Min Jun said with a mischievous grin, grabbing Hyun Soo's hand and dragging him along.

They soon arrived at a photo booth, and Hyun Soo tilted his head in confusion. "A photo booth? We have our phones, Min Jun," he pointed out, raising an eyebrow.

"I know, but this is different. Come on, let's go in," Min Jun insisted, pushing Hyun Soo gently into the booth first. He quickly inserted the coins, and they both settled onto the small seat, shoulders touching.

"Smile and strike some poses," Min Jun urged, his excitement contagious.

Hyun Soo couldn't help but smile as they made silly faces and took various poses, enjoying the lighthearted moment.

But as the last photo was about to be taken, Min Jun suddenly leaned in and kissed Hyun Soo on the cheek. Hyun Soo's eyes widened in shock, caught completely off guard by the unexpected gesture.

The camera clicked, capturing the moment forever.
