Flashback From the Future XXII

"What do you mean you killed her?!!" asked Dom in rage, he couldn't think clearly, not at all, not after what she had just said.

Her admitting that she was the one who drugged both he and Natasha was one thing, but actually admitting to the recent murder of his wife was another thing completely.

If Dom had been holding onto his sanity before, he sure wasn't now.

"I meant what I said, I killed her, actually it was very easy, way too easy" said Lia as she laughed and removed the safety off the gun, this was it, Dom could never ever love her in his entire life again, and she knew it and didn't care at all.

Dom's eyes were filled with rage, he was furious, he did not know what to do, Lia had just admitted to killing Natasha so casually, as it if didn't matter, as if she wasn't their friend, as if she wasn't his wife, as if she was not important at all.

"All I had to do was get your phone, send her a message telling her that you had prepared a very special date for her in the forest" said Lia as she narrated her story while laughing.

"She was too gullible, but then again, she was always so gullible for you" said Lia as she laughed.

"I told her to meet me in the forest while pretending to be you, and she came of course, happily, thinking that you wanted to reconcile with her" said Lia as Dom was unable to speak right now, his heart was beating quickly, not out of fear, but out of utter rage, the frown on his face contorted into a look of anger and furiousness.

"And I know you are wondering how I got your phone?" asked Lia as Dom said nothing at all.

"Well it's easy, you really don't look after your phone well, especially when you are working, you just leave it in your room, or in your office desk, so I took it and brought it back without you even knowing" said Lia as she scoffed.

"I actually didn't think that my plan would work flawlessly this time, but it would seem that Natasha was super desperate to reconcile with you, she has been for the past 10 years, but did you listen? No!" said Lia.

"Shut up Lia! Shut up, you have no right to talk about that!" said Dom as he raised his voice at her for the first time ever in his life.

"No I won't shut up, this is the truth you need to know the truth!" said Lia as she shouted back.

"You have no right to talk about the truth, you have no right to accuse me when you are the one who caused all our problems in the first place!!!" said Dom.

"Oh no you are wrong Dom, I didn't cause all your problems, not at all, your lack of trust and insecurity is what caused your problems!" said Lia.

"If you had been a good husband who believed his wife I doubt I would have been able to get in between you two!" said Lia.

"Shut up Lia, you are insane, completely insane!" said Dom.

"You shut up Dom and let me finish telling you the story" said Lia as Dom scoffed.

"The poor thing came to the forest as I asked, with no questions at all, she waited and waited for you, but you didn't show up, and then when she was convinced you weren't coming, she tried to leave, and that was when I showed up" said Lia as she smiled.

"Do you want to know how I killed your beloved wife?" asked Lia with a crazy smile on her face as Dom refused to look at her.

"Don't you want to know the real way she died?" asked Lia as she pulled Dom's face to look at her with her free hand.

"Look at me Dom, look at me" she said as Dom was forced to look at her.

"I made her suffer, I made her bleed in pain, the same way I've been in pain for the past 10 years" said Lia with as she lowered her voice as Dom flinched in pain of imagining the horror that Natasha must have went through.

"I chased her, I cornered her like a mouse in a forest, she was hopeless, defenseless, crying for help, with no one to turn to" said Lia.

"I shot her once, she was so sly that she managed to dodge the bullet dangerously and she continued running until she couldn't run anymore" said Lia as Dom closed his eyes, this was just too much.

"She slumped in front of a tree, I cornered her, she begged for mercy, but no amount of pleading could change my mind, I was ready to get rid of her once and for all" said Lia.

"The fear in her eyes were evident, she kept on begging and begging for me to let her go, for me to let her leave, and then... I pulled the trigger and shot her in the head and she died" said Lia as Dom could not bear this at all.

"She was finally gone, she was dead, the thorn in my flesh was finally gone" said Lia.

"And I felt so happy, so relieved" said Lia as she smiled and Dom opened his eyes.

"Now the only problem was erasing my tracks so no one would ever find out" said Lia.

"You see, I'm smart, very smart, I learnt from my mistakes, I made sure no one saw me going in or coming out, and even if they did, they would never know it was me, dressed in all black, wearing a ski mask" said Lia as she laughed.

"First I took Natasha's phone, deleted all the messages from you and used another phone that I later discarded of to send her one final message, one that would give the police their first lead" said Lia.

"And in order to hasten the process, I called the police myself, it was easier that way, so I knew when they found out and what they would do" said Lia.

"And of course you didn't know a thing because after every message, I deleted the reply and message itself from your phone" said Lia as she laughed at her genius.

"Everything went according to my plan, her body was found and then I could rest easy, no one would ever suspect me" said Lia as she shook her head waiting for Dom to say something, she could see that he was struggling and that was what she wanted, she wanted him to feel pain and suffering, the same way she felt it.

"Now the hard part was pretending not to know anything and crying like everyone else was" said Lia.

"*Ugh*, that was the worst, it's funny how people don't care about someone when they are alive, but once they are dead, everything changes" said Lia as she shook her head.

"I was just waiting for everyone to get over the whole mourning mood so we could start our lives together" said Lia as Dom almost lost it.

"You are a monster Lia!!" said Dom as he shouted.

"Oh, no, I'm not a monster, you and everyone else are for not caring about Natasha at all, I did both her and everyone else a favour by killing her" said Lia as Dom felt like hurting her, he felt like strangling her, doing something to her to cause her pain, but he could not bring himself to lay a single finger on her, he just couldn't, he was not like that at all.

"You are a monster, how can you say that??!" asked Dom.

"You have no right to say anything like that, you have no right to call Natasha by her name, so shut up!" said Dom in anger.

"Oh how sweet, but it's the truth, I did her a favour by ending that sham of a marriage you both had" said Lia as she smiled.

"You are crazy for thinking that way! You ended her life too early, you left Joy without a mother, you left us without a dear friend, you are insane Lia, insane! How could you kill Natasha? How could you hurt her like that?" asked Dom as he felt like crying but tears would not come out of his eyes, he could not believe this, if someone had told him this, he would not believe them, but he had no choice but to believe everything that Lia was telling him, because she had confessed the truth to him.

"Let's be honest Dom, the pain I caused her is nothing compared to the pain you caused her, we are both the same, we both hurt her, nothing makes you better than me" said Lia as she smiled.

"This is not about who is better than who Lia, this is about a life, someone's life, you killed her, you murdered her, murder is unforgivable Lia" said Dom as Lia scoffed.

"Then I guess you are my accomplice as well Dom, because let me tell you one more secret" said Lia as she whispered and moved closer to him.

"I used your lovely gun to kill your lovely wife" said Lia as everything that came out of her mouth made Dom feel more rage, more disappointment, more grief, and more hate towards himself for not being able to figure this out sooner.

"You're crazy Lia, you know that, you are crazy, I never thought that you were this unstable, but you are" said Dom as he sighed, he was tired of shouting and arguing, there was no point arguing with an insane person, she obviously felt no remorse for what she did, neither did she seem to understand that she needed mental help, she was utterly insane.

"Oh unstable is you Dom" said Lia as she laughed and cackled insanely.

"Oh wow, it feels so good to get this all off my chest, to tell you the truth, I really should have done this sooner" said Lia as she sighed in relief and smiled.

"Oh really, now I know why people confess, it really does good for the soul" said Lia as she looked at Dom who shook his head in nothing but disappointment, but she didn't care, she knew he would be disappointed but she had already prepared herself for that, she was ready for him to hate her forever, she didn't care.

"You are going to jail for this Lia, you are not going to get away with this" said Dom as his words caused Lia to laugh.

"Oh Dom, my sweet innocent Dom, do you think I am stupid? I accounted for all of this, the police haven't been able to catch me till now, and they will never catch me" said Lia.

"You see, when I came in here to speak to you, I had no intention of letting you go free after all I have told you" said Lia as Dom watched her closely as he frowned, what the heck did she mean by that?

"Me literally confessing to two crimes in front of you means that neither of us can leave" said Lia.

"What are you saying Lia??" asked Dom.

"I'm saying is that my plan tonight was to tell you the truth, and now that I have done that, I am going to kill you and then kill myself, because if I can't have you no one can!!! No one!!!" said Lia as she shouted in insanity as nothing could describe the look of horror on Dom's face.

"You are mad Lia, you are mad" said Dom as he backed away and shook his head.

"Yes I'm mad Dom, madly in love with you" said Lia her voice barely a whisper.

"I've been in love with you for so long, far too long" said Lia as she shook her head.

"This isn't love Lia, it's selfishness!! If you really loved me, you would want me to be happy, whether with you, or Natasha or anyone else for that matter, you claim that you love me and that's why you did all these things but in truth you are only selfish, all you care about is yourself and what makes you happy and not what makes everyone happy" said Dom his voice firm and eyes filled with disgrace for her as Lia felt her heart breaking at the way he looked at her with utter disappointment.
