1980 memories IV

"Larry, these documents came for you from Mr. James, he says that he needs you to write down some amounts for him" said Ivanka as she walked into Larry's office and she handed him the papers.

"Alright, I will take a look at them later, or better yet tomorrow" said Larry as he looked at Ivanka.

"Alright then, he did not say that they were urgent anyway" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"I will be right back, I need to go somewhere" said Larry as he stood up.

"That is alright, take your time" said Ivanka as she smiled and Larry walked out of his office, Ivanka walked to check the door as she saw that no one was in sight, and she closed the door as her face turned serious, she walked to the drawers as she looked through the folders.

"It's not here" she said to herself as her eyes darted across the room.

"Of course…" said Ivanka as her eyes went to Larry's desk, and in particular the drawer in the desk, she had noticed that he always kept the drawer locked, and the key was always with him at all times, she had been observing him, and he kept documents that he did not want her or anyone else to see there.

Ivanka walked to the desk and she bent down at the drawer, she had to be quick, she did not know when Larry would come back, Ivanka removed a black hairpin from her hair as she used it to pick the lock, she had done this many times, she was an expert.

"da" said Ivanka to herself as she smiled and the drawer opened.

Ivanka quickly stood up as she took out some documents from the drawer and she began to search through the documents.

"It is here" said Ivanka to herself, she knew she had no more time, so she quickly put the documents back into the drawer as she locked the drawer back and she put her hairpin back into her hair, all her actions were all just so coordinated and smooth, she would come back another day, she needed that document, it was the whole basis of her mission, she had spent a few weeks gaining Larry's trust, and she was sure that she had, she could not delay any longer… or else she would be punished severely, and she was not one to not accomplish a mission.

"I am back" said Larry as he walked into the room.

"Ahh, welcome back" said Ivanka with a smile and Larry walked to get his coat from the rack as he wore it.

"Shall we go now?" asked Larry.

"Ahh, yes yes, give me a moment, I will meet you outside" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"Alright then" said Larry as Ivanka smiled and she walked out of his office.

Larry was standing outside in the snow, waiting for Ivanka, to tell the truth he had never gone out to somewhere public with a woman.

"I hope I did not keep you waiting Larry" said Ivanka as she walked out the office doors.

"No, not at all" said Larry as he turned to look at Ivanka.

"Great" said Ivanka as she smiled, she had been delayed since she had to meet with Mr. James, he was asking her about her mission, even though it was not his business at all, she knew what he actually wanted, and when this was all done, she would finally give him the punch in the face that he truly deserved.

"Shall we go?" asked Ivanka as she smiled.

"Alright" said Larry as they began to walk, the party was being held not too far from the office.

Larry and Ivanka walked into the place as Larry opened the door for her.

"Thank you" said Ivanka as she smiled and she walked in ahead of him as Larry entered behind her as he closed the door.

"Ahh look who finally decides to join our gatherings for once" came the voice of a man as he caught sight of Larry and Ivanka walking in as he laughed.

"Larry you are here?" asked a woman in shock as she saw Larry..

"Yes… I invited him, is there a problem?" asked Ivanka as she smiled.

"No, not at all Ivanka, this guy, is just a very boring person" said the man as he laughed.

"A good evening to you as well" said Larry as he walked away to sit down in a corner, this was why he preferred to be alone, others always like to pick on him, maybe because he was younger than them.

"I do not think he is boring" said Ivanka as she looked back at the man as Larry walked away.

"Because you are too nice to, anyway, come have a drink" said the man as he smiled at Ivanka and she looked at Larry.

"Here, I got you a drink" said Ivanka as she smiled and she handed Larry a glass as she had another in her hand.

"I don't drink" said Larry.

"I know, so I got you coffee" said Ivanka as she smiled, she had observed Larry, he preferred to drink coffee in low doses.

"I see, thank you" said Larry as he took the glass from her.

"You are welcome" said Ivanka as she smiled and she sat down beside him as they watched all the other colleagues dance and laughed as they looked like they were having fun, Larry would have left a long time ago, if not that Ivanka had asked him to come with her, and it would be rude for him to leave her just like that.

"Hey Ivanka, how about you dance with me… I am a very good dancer, if I do say so myself" came the voice of a brown-haired man as he walked to where Ivanka and Larry were sitting.

"No thank you, I don't feel like dancing" said Ivanka as she smiled and she turned him down politely.

"You don't feel like, or you don't know how to?" asked the man as he smiled.

"Oh I do know how to dance very well… but not tonight" replied Ivanka.

"Suite yourself, but if you change your mind, I am always here" said the man as he winked at her.

"I will see" said Ivanka as she laughed and the man walked away as he began to talk with the others and they laughed.

"You didn't want to dance?" asked Larry.

"Well yes, I prefer to stay here" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"I would say you should dance with them… being over here is boring as they say" said Larry as he scoffed..

"Sometimes boring is not actually boring, but peaceful" said Ivanka as she smiled and Larry looked at her.

"Besides, I prefer to be here with you than with them" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"And why is that?" asked Larry as he looked at her.

"I am a reserved person, all I do is work, and as they have said I am boring" said Larry.

"Yes you are reserved, you are quiet, you do your work well, but you are not boring" said Ivanka as she looked into his eyes and she smiled.

"Have you ever stopped to consider that what you call boring may be a breath of fresh air for someone else?" asked Ivanka as she smiled.

"All my life… I have lived in the moment, I have experienced many thrills and danger unimaginable… but when I am with you… you are just so calm so peaceful, that I find it alarming how someone could live their life so simply without any problems" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"To me, I don't find you boring, far from it… you are the most interesting man I have ever met, and it is not because you are interesting man, with such a lavish life, but because you are a simple man, with good values, and I admire that about you" said Ivanka as she smiled, that was how she felt about Larry, he was just so different from everyone else, and she just had to say that, because she knew how shy he was.

"Thank… you??" asked Larry as he did not know what to say, what exactly was he thanking her for?? Maybe because no one else had ever said such nice things to him before.

"You are welcome" said Ivanka as she laughed, there came his shyness, she just found him so cute, she had seen many heartless men, men who cared for no one and nothing at all, but Larry was just so soft-hearted, so gentle and innocent, that she wished she could be like him.

"You know what, let us go, I am tired of being here" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"Alright" said Larry as Ivanka stood up and he followed after her and everyone else turned to look at them as they left.

"I don't know what she sees in him" said the man as he scoffed a pretty girl like Ivanka could not have interest in a boring man like Larry.

"Would you like me to walk you to the train station?" asked Larry as he turned to look at Ivanka.

"Ahh no… I just realized that I forgot my purse back at the office" said Ivanka.

"We can walk back there together" said Larry.

"Ahh No, I do not want to delay you… thank you for the offer" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"Alright then" said Larry.

"Yes" said Ivanka as she smiled.

"Thank you, have a goodnight Larry, see you tomorrow" said Ivanka as she smiled and she quickly gave Larry a kiss on the cheek before he could react and she walked away smiling.

"Good…night…" said Larry as he touched his cheek in surprise as he turned and Ivanka was walking away quickly, Larry smiled, no Ivanka was… well she was different.
