Chapter 7: Cheating on you

-Airport

Su Lihua stared at her blank phone with a pout, she had been waiting for Cora to come out so she could pick her up,

"Urghhh", she groaned, "Where is she?"

"Looking for me?",

Lihua turned around and was given an abrupt hug, "Look at you, being all cute and pouty,

"And look at you not having anything thing to do",

"Oh come on, I just wanted to give you a little shock, but anyway, is that how you treat the best friend that you haven't seen in a while?

Lihua shook her head and smiled, try as she might, she just couldn't get mad at Cora,

"So, can we head over to the Cupcakery now, I'm craving a muffin right about now", there was a cheeky smile on her face and she wiggled her eyebrows suggestively,

"Pft-, fine, just stop with the face. Seriously, you and your sweet addiction"

"Tch" she scoffed, "They're sweets, you're MEANT to be addicted"

Lihua didn't retort, she knew better than to argue with her friend's forced logic, it was better to just let her be.

-Cupcakery

"Mmm," Cora moaned stuffing a muffin in her mouth, [ooh that rhymed],

"This place still has the best muffins in the world",

Lihua stared at the four muffins left in front of Cora, "You sure do act like a two-year-old, and yet you, end up giving me, advice"

"What can I say, I'm a pro. Anyway, I was actually thinking of starting a life coaching blog, what'd you think?"

"Sure, anything that floats your boat"

They talked about random things for a while before Cora's phone interrupted them,

"Hey Tao"

[Cora, you've arrived already, right?]

"Yeah, I think about forty minutes ago, Lihua came to pick me up"

[Sorry I couldn't be the one to pick you up, something came up]

"Oh no biggie, you've always been a busy man, I get"

[I was thinking of making it up to you, what do you think of dinner tonight?]

"Like a date?, sur...",

Lihua couldn't take it any longer, she got up and snatched the phone away from Cora,

"No, Cora will NOT be going on a date with a b***ard like you, so leave her alone. Goodbye."

Cora stared at Lihua confused, "What was that for?"

"I'm not gonna sit around and let that idiot ruin your life", Lihua was still fuming while Cora looked as lost as a baby sheep,

"Ruin my life?"

"yeah...", she sighed, "He Tao may look innocent, but he's nothing but a jerk and a douche bag"

Last time, Cora had gone to the point of almost committing suicide because of him, she didn't need to see her friend a shell of her former self ever again"

"I still don't get it"

"Urgh, Cora. The idiot is cheating on you!"
