Sam block two more arrows, as the goblins obviously felt threatened by the large shield that seemed colossal in their eyes.
Taking advantage of this, Feil teleported into enemy lines and instantly decapitated the head of one of the ranger goblins.
The goblins weren't able to react, they didn't even see anyone move, yet, they also saw that one of the members had suddenly disappeared.
The goblins only reacted after feeling a warm substance slash onto their cheeks.
*Screech~ Screech~*
It was an ear-piercing scream, even Sam, who was a few meters away had to cover his ears in pain.
"What the hell? They're goblins, not sonic bats!" He shouted.
After a few seconds of an ear-piercing screech, the goblin's actions had changed. Their instincts told them, they knew, that if they did not go all out and abandoned everything, even if they ran, they would be killed.
From the goblin's reckless actions, everyone's eyes dimmed.
The goblins picked up whatever they could, they used their daggers, swords, even the rocks and twigs on the ground were used.
*Swoosh~ Bang~*
It was very ineffective for the most part. The spells {Shield} alone was able to fend off all the damage they would've taken, even if they were actually hit by weapons, let alone when they were dodging and deflecting the range attacks they threw at them.
Seeing that the goblins were all spread out, Sam yelled out, automatically casting {Taunt} within that yell, causing the goblins to group up and rush towards him.
Seeing that they were grouped up, Bennett signalled to Feil to rush in and kill the remaining goblins.
To quickly take them out, Feil had teleported to the goblins, slashing them apart before they could react. Bennett was taking out the goblins slightly further away from the taunt's range.
Seeing that Feil was having some trouble, Hana had started casting some basic attack spells, throwing several {Fireballs}, burning them to a crisp.
*Screech~*
From the fear of seeing its comrades die, the last goblin to die was burning, screaming from the pain, in despair before its vision went dark.
*Thud~*
"Finally! Those screeches were getting very annoying." Hana sighed in relief.
Feil didn't rest for a single moment, "Come on, let's go help David!" He ushered them to follow.
"Coming!" Sam, Bennett, and Hana replied.
On David's side...
{Apprasial}!
[Cannot be identified, 'item' is virtual...]
'Ok... everyone se-wait... what does a supporter goblin do when there's a healer? Guess that's the first to go then.' David looked at the group of goblins, completely ignoring the message in front of him.
The 10 goblins on their side actually seemed like a party of adventurers, 2 tanks goblins, 2 mage goblins, 4 warrior goblins, one healer, and one support goblin.
"Seems like we've got the bad end of the stick." David commented at the group of goblins in front of him.
'Time to see how good this {Teleportation Magic} is!'
*Whoosh~ Shing~*
'Tch, takes a bit too much energy.'
The head of the supporter goblin, which seemed to have the least amount of item on it was decapitated first.
*Splat~*
The blood coming from the neck sprayed onto the other goblins, making them screech in fear, spreading out.
*Screech~*
"Elizebeth, Bennett, you go after the first group, I'll kill the other group." He ordered.
The two were slightly worried, but Bennett knew his strength well, especially since he was a third-tier powerhouse now, some goblins wouldn't hurt him.
What was left now was two groups of goblins, Bennett and Elizebeth were fighting the group of goblins (2 warriors, 1 tank, 1 mage, 1 healer) which had a healer.
David quickly moved, he decided not to use {Teleportation Magic}, since it took too much mana for what it was worth.
The goblin mage started spouting some gibberish, but due to David's basic mastery of {Language}, he was able to hear that it was about to cast some sort of attack spell.
He was about to charge right through, but he felt that his emotions urged him to rush towards the tank.
'It has an aggro skill as well?' David suppressed his urge.
He turned his head, and shifted his body, lunged forward, thrusting his staff, throwing the shielded goblin off its feet.
Seeing that their plan had failed, the warrior goblins immediately charged at him.
Even though the tank was thrown away, the effect of its skill was still there, irritating him. It was especially effective, even though he didn't have that pure of dragon blood, it was enough to make him feel disgusted with how such low leveled creatures were rushing at him.
Unconsciously, he released his aura, instantly freezing the goblins in place.
*Burst~*
As he did that, most of the pressure was on the tank, instantly making its head burst. Its flesh flew everywhere, even sticking to the nearby body of goblins.
They wanted to open their mouth and scream, but the weight on their body was... too strong... too strong!
David saw that the tank was dead, yet the effect still didn't fade, instead, it was transferred to the next strongest goblin.
'Interesting... sorry, you're the first to go.'
He walked towards them, spinning his staff.
*Splat~ Splat~ Splat~*
Without a moment of hesitation, his body became fluid, yet precise as he thrust his staff into each of the goblin's head, making their head completely burst.
'Good thing I still have {Mana Shield} on, guess it also keeps this disgusting stuff away from my body.' He looked at his perfectly untainted clothes.
*Thud~*
The bodies of the goblins had dropped, but instead of disappearing into pieces of light, they were absorbed into the ground.
'That's new... I guess go to the others then.' David turned.
Actually, they weren't that far apart in the first place, so both Elizebeth and Kyle were able to sense a portion of his dense aura.
Though... for some reason, they didn't feel any real weight, just the psychological pressure behind it.
The goblin group in front of them had frozen as well, barely able to move their fingers and toes.
Because of that, they were able to quickly dispatch them.
"Everyone finished?"
David looked at the gory scene of dead bodies with no expression.
"Mn." The two nodded.
'Is it their first time? Nah, shouldn't be... right?'
David looked at them, "Come on, let's finish this warm-up."
Elizebeth and Kyle nodded, following David to the other part of the forest to assist the others.
They were able to quickly see that the group of four was having some issues with them, but they weren't overwhelmed.
They initially wanted to go in, but David stopped them, "Let them have their moment, if it's a first time for some of them, better to get rid of it now."
Sam was fighting the two tanks alone, Feil and Bennett were both fighting two warrior goblins and Hana was holding back the mages while also intercepting the healer.
Sam had the most trouble, especially since he was outnumbered and due to his class, he's extremely slow, forcing the battle to be an attrition fight.
Feil and Bennett had the least trouble, especially Bennett being one rank above them, they were quickly able to dispatch them.
"I'll go and help Sam, you'll go and help Hana, ok?" Bennett asked.
"Got it!" He nodded.
Feil quickly teleported to Hana, surprising her, "You're done already?"
"Yeah! What'd you need me to do?" He asked without a trace of arrogance.
He knew that even if this was virtual, in a real, you can die anytime, so why waste that time being arrogant about being a prince, right?
"Can you kill the healer? I can't hold out too well against two mages, even if I'm using chantless magic." She requested.
Feil nodded, teleporting behind the mages, right in front of the healer.
*Scre-Thud~*
Seeing a figure suddenly appear before it, the goblin was just about to scream, but its vision had faded, falling onto the ground.
Hana saw how quickly Feil was able to dispatch the healer, surprised inside. She threw a few spells and engulfed the goblins in flames, turning them to ash as her mana had just recovered.
*Ding~*
[ The Students: David Vale, Hana Li, Kyle Hori, Elizebeth Nenao, Feil Nenao, Sam Nenao has completed {Random Encounter #3}! ]
'Eh? That sound never happened before...' David looked at the screen in front of him.
He saw that the same screen appeared before everyone.
'So... it's from the school system.' He sighed.
[ Beginning to teleport students... ]
*Whoosh~*

Chapter 97 End...
I tried something new... not used to it, but at least it made the chapter seem longer.
