A Reader’s Regression

[Support the work by adding to library and donating stones, golden tickets, and gifts. privilege is also available.] [Book really shines after the 50th chapter, so stick with it, you’ll love it, I promise!] Orphaned from birth, I lived a lonely and tough life, only finding solace in a novel I read. I was lonely so I enjoyed the hero’s friendships. I was weak so I enjoyed the hero’s strength. I was poor so I enjoyed the hero’s wealth. I lived through the hero’s eyes and was content… But in the end my bleak life pushed me to a depressing death on my desk. ….. Thankfully, while my soul was going through an unknown space, fate had other plans. A dying god’s last words granted me a second life in the novel I had lived vicariously through. This time I will not be weak, this time I will not be lonely, and this time I will find others to love!. Armed with the system, i’ll see the ending with my own eyes! A major theme for this book is Oneness/Simplification/return to origin so that things never get annoying or overwhelming.

The Silver Lion Roars Again

With some training, I should be able to regain my previous power and even step into the [Sword Saint] Rank!"

"That's good to hear, father!"

"It's finally done, dear, this shadow that has covered your heart."

As they hugged I snuck away to find my younger sister.

'Yes.'

A panel like the one that showed my status appeared but on it was my father's name:

NAME: Johnathan Fellsword(Host's Father)

AGE:48

SWORDSMANSHIP(gravely Injured): Pseudo-Sword Saint-Rank.

STATS:

Physical-1200(Severely limited due to Injury)

Metaphysical-1050(mostly blocked due to injury)

Injury: Intertwining Veins due to a dull sword wound (Requires either complicated surgery completely sacrificing the Aura Core or mastery of pressure points along with precise manipulation of Mana to rectify the Aura paths.)

I could not be happier as medical information flowed into my mind. The effect of the passive skill [Healing Knowledge].

'I can cure you!' I shouted in my mind.

I quickly got closer to my father.

He looked towards me with a slight shame in his eyes not knowing what to say.

"*Sigh* Just leave it to me, son," he said with a lowered head.

I didn't hide anything and just said it clearly.

"Can you defeat him if you weren't injured, father?"

He looked confused.

"It wouldn't have taken me more than 10 moves before I was injured." He answered with no hesitantion.

"Do you trust me, father?"

"of course I do son!"

"Then please lay down on the table," I said.

My mother say anything.

"Why?" He asked.

"Please just trust me, father."

He sighed and laid his back on the table.

"I'll trust you no matter what you do."

"Just trust me, Maids!"

"Yes, young master?" A maid answered.

"Bring me some needles, the more the better."

"Yes, young master-"

The man named Julius appeared from thin air.

"Will these do, young master?" Julius asked as he handed me a pouch filled with thin needles.

"Ah, yes these will work," I said.

"Grit your teeth, Father."

"Son?"

Suddenly the knowledge within my mind took hold of my body. First, it released my Mana and covered the needles to the point they were glowing like a light bulb and then it began precisely striking them into my father's pressure points.

"Ugh!!!" My father shouted.

The man named Julius almost grabbed my hand but stopped himself. His care for my father was evident.

My mother was worried.

"You're hurting your father, Cassian! What are you doing?"

"Just trust me, mother!"

My father began exclaiming out in pain and coughing out black blood as I continued stabbing into his pressure/acupuncture points with incredible accuracy and focused force due to the Mana. My mother held herself back as she teared up, his pained voice was unbearable for her.

This would go on for two long hours.

2 HOURS LATER.

My body was exhausted and my Mana was about to run out but my father had long stopped exclaiming in pain and coughing.

"Now to revitalize the Aura passageways!"

Suddenly the bright translucent Mana on my fingertips turned into a rough and chaotic silver energy that the skill injected into my father's pressure points with incredible speed. My Aura went in like a flood and began to feed the passageways, like heavy rain in a desert.

My father started exclaiming in pain again.

"Agahgghhhg!!!"

"Now, Father! release all of your aura!!"

My father coughed out a bucket full of dark purple blood(?) and his body released a loud explosive sound as a shockwave of thick, silver energy was released into the room pushing everything and everyone away.

"Ughh!!" my father grunted in pain.

Both me and mother were about to crash into the walls but suddenly a hand touched my back before I could use my own power to stop.

"Got you."

My father had caught the both of us out of different directions in an instant.

"Dear! You're using Aura freely!" my mother said.

His body had a faint moonlight silver glow to it and his face and pitch-black hair moved with passion once again.

"It worked!" I shouted.

My father hugged me and laughed loudly as if he had been holding it in for years.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I don't know how you did it, Cassian but this father of yours Is unworthy of such a good son!" he shouted as loudly as he could as if a weight had left his shoulders.

My mother also hugged me.

"I'm sorry for doubting you!" she said.

Suddenly, the black-haired man reappeared and bowed.

"Your injury's finally cured, my Lord!"

"Yes, Julius, I guess we'll be training together once again!" my fathers expression was refreshing and filled with joy.

"Indeed, it'll be like the good old days!" Julius said.

Elle was only a year younger than me, and she glorified me as her talented big brother. This resulted in our relationship being the closest in the Fellsword Family. Inseparable twins was the word they used to describe us.

In terms of appearance, we were nearly identical, both having fair skin, pitch-black hair, and crimson eyes, unlike the other siblings, and in terms of talent, we were on a separate level and only rivaled each other.

I had made a promise and the time to stick to it arrived quickly.

"There you are, big brother!" She ran through the halls toward me with a picnic basket in her hands and a straw hat on her head.

"I was just looking for you, Elle!" She hugged me with a bright smile on her face.

"Let's go quickly, big brother!"

"Alright alright, let's find your sisters and head out."

.

.

Soon, we were all in the carriage heading off. Me, my older sisters, and Elle.

They decided on a picnic day and I gave in to Elle's request. The destination wasn't far, a nice field near our house. The grass was lush and dotted with colorful flowers, making it the perfect spot for a family outing.

My elder sisters, with their baskets of food and blankets, led the way, while I walked hand in hand with Elle.
