“The two of you love each other. That’s a solid basis for any relationship. You just have to keep working on it. Everything will fall into place on its own.”
“Is it really that easy?”
Kyle snickered when his mother snorted.
“As if, but it will be worth it in the end. The greater question now is if you consider Clement a man worth fighting for.”
Kyle didn’t even hesitate. “He is.”
“You have your answer then.”
Kyle nodded. “Thanks, Mom.”
“You’re welcome, honey.”
Kyle wished it was really as easy as that. He still had his doubts, but he felt much better now. His parents were right. He and Clement were in love with each other. Regardless of their differences, he knew, without the shadow of a doubt, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Clement. He couldn’t imagine growing old without Clement by his side. He sat up straight and got to his feet.
“I think I’ll wait for Clement in the upper deck.”
