It was his fault for becoming rather lax with his security and privacy, but he couldn’t help it. He enjoyed Kyle’s company, and he hadn’t felt so strongly about anyone in a while. He had a horrible premonition of sorts when one of his bodyguards interrupted his breakfast, telling him that Seraphina and Mirabella were video-calling the embassy, and apparently, there was an urgent matter he had to know about immediately. He left the table and walked briskly back to his room. One glance at the similar concerned expression on their faces was more than enough to make it clear he was about to hear something he would rather ignore.
“Sera, Mira, what is it?”
“Gordon has left for the airport. He will be boarding one of the commercial flights. Somebody from the embassy in New York will fetch him from the airport when he arrives later.”
“Sera, what are you talking about?”
