It was one thing to kill Grimm and even the odd bandit that tried to get fancy with how peaceful Vale had become. But the sheer disregard the Space Pirates had for their own lives was a distributing thing to behold.
Whether the Space Pirates were in good shape or even had missing limbs from Samus's prior rampage and the crash-landed upon the planet, they still came at us armed with their advanced weaponry that drained a lot of aura if we got hit by the corroding beams. And for a ship that had crash-landed onto the planet with little care by the forces on the ship as it landed. It was astounding how the ship was still in good condition.
"Jake, we found a large working cargo elevator that leads to the cargo bay, engines, and at the end of the line, the control room." A scout told me and I paused before nodding and looked to 2B and A2.
"Girls, follow me, we need to kill the captain in the cargo bay," I announced with them saluting as they had already picked up tricks in slaughtering the Space Pirates I couldn't really micromanage as while they were fighting the Space Pirates YoRHa had already started dissecting the corpses and taking apart their armor to find out weak points both in the materials as well as in its shape and design. With the Space Pirates jetpack being more fragile, lightweight, and also acting as the suit's power core...
Because for whatever reason the Mother Brain who created the Space Pirates decided that tiny nuclear cells for power banks was a swell idea and maybe it was as we found the ship was leaking low levels of radiation from its own blown-up nuclear cores that provided the ship its fuel.
But still shooting or stabbing a Space Pirate in the back for whatever reason would overload the nuclear cores within the jetpack and flood the Space Pirates body with excessive energy killing them when the power cell was broken. "Killing these aliens makes me feel a lot more... Fulfilled than killing the Grim or the Machine Army of our old world," A2 said softly as we rode the elevator, and for a moment 2B paused before she nodded silently in confirmation and that nod made me hope I never landed in Star War's or somewhere with friendlier aliens as YoRHa was still ultra-racist and hated aliens.
"Just be careful A2," I said quietly as the almost silent elevator hummed as it came to a stop and through the glass walls that were around us at the end of the cargo bay, and as the glass walls hissed and opened up we were welcomed by Space Pirate heads popping up from behind the cargo container's lining the room and then I hurriedly lifted a wall of sand in front of us that made loud thumping noises as the Space Pirate energy blasts collided with the sand wall.
A2 and 2B with their pods went around the sides of the sand wall, and then I sent the sand wall forward to smash into the cargo containers to push them back and make the Space Pirates flinch. While my androids used their superhuman speed to dash forward while they were distracted thus they fell upon the Space Pirates with no mercy, their blades hacked them to pieces while their pods shot powerful lasers that blasted chunks of flesh apart when colliding with the metal carapace like armor the Space Pirates wore.
Then a large cargo container was launched at me and I felt my very soul tingle as I saw the cargo container was flecked with glowing blue moss like crap so I knew the container was tainted or filled with Phazon stuff but either way when I used a hand construct made out of sand to slam the cargo container to the side, I had to hurriedly dodge as a small car-sized blob of grey energy shot past my dodging form before colliding with the wall behind me and corroding it into rusted ashes.
At the back end of the cargo bay, was the ship's mutated captain that had been tainted and made far stronger than usual with Phazon. Whereas an elite Space Pirate was about three meters tall, this one was a solid five and a half meters tall with large shoulder-mounted laser canons that glowed blue with Phazon fueling the energy needs of the guns while the Space Pirate Captain's arm cannon was glowing with the blue light of Phazon.
And my worry was right as from the arm cannon came a condensed boom of blue Phazon energy that tainted wherever it was aimed. Though it was obvious as I dodged and hid around a cargo container that using that Phazon arm canon tired out the Phazon hive mind that was boosting the Space Pirates' form. But when the monster saw me act like a coward and hide, it turned its guns upon A2 and 2B who were gleefully slaughtering the other Space Pirates and so I took that moment it was distracted to use my semblance.
See I was human, and with my human mind unless Jeanne was here to boost my semblance and basically boost my comprehension I couldn't just casually close the Gaps between insane concepts like flicking the switch between the gap of life and death... That was beyond me. But just pinching the space between the head and a person's chest, compressing their neck to a splatter of gore?
Without a supernatural shield like Aura or innate magical resistance, I was able to take the time to twist the Space Pirate captain into a fleshy pretzel with its vividly glowing Phazon-enhanced blood being splatted on the ground while 2B and A2 finished off the rest of the Space Pirates.
"White, send in the magically, and Dust enhanced flamethrower cleaners to the cargo bay to clean up the Phazon down here," I ordered as I looked around the cargo bay and my face twitched at the sight of a broke up cargo container and its contents... Floating within the air was one of Samus's suit upgrades.
Meaning Samus was going to be making her way here at any moment now.
