Chapter 28: Yang Zhai Vs Chen Ki(Part2)

Yang Zhai fell to the ground. There was a trace of blood on the right corner of his mouth. It seemed that he got injured this time. He stood up and looked toward Chen Ki. Chen Ki had also stood up from the ground. He also looked like he got injured this time around.

Yang Zhai started to move. He removed his shoes and threw them into the air. And cast a black light on the shoes from his right hand. Both of the shoes started to wriggle. They started to deform in an unrecognized shape. After a while, two black and white dogs landed on the ground. The shoes had been converted into two dogs. The dog on the right side charged toward Chen Ki whilst showing its canine teeth. While the dog on the left started to run behind the first dog.

Chen Ki saw this and jumped in the air. He threw black smog on the first dog. But it managed to dodge and launched itself at him. Chen Ki knew that the situation was not good, so he hurriedly activated his defensive treasure to defend himself. The black dog bit Chen Ki's left leg, but its teeth could not pierce through the defensive barrier. The white dog tried to bite his face; however, Chen Ki moved his head with his body to the left, dodging the attack. The white dog went past him and landed on the ground. 

Chen Ki took the chance and placed his hand on the ground. The surface of the ground began to shake, and vines as thick as humans emerged. One of the vines stabbed through the black dog's stomach that was trying to pierce Chen Ki's leg. It could not escape in time, so it was easily pierced through. It fell to the ground, covered in blood. The vines started to attack the white dog, but because of the dog's agility, it managed to evade the vines every time and came to Yang Zhai's side.

Yang Zhai again began to release the green smoke toward Chen Ki. Just like before, Chen Ki recalled the technique and jumped back. 

What should I do? This is going nowhere. At this rate, we will tire ourselves to death: These were Yang Zhai's and Chen Ki's thoughts. They knew that they were equally matched. Even though Yang Zhai was at a disadvantage because of having only one arm, he was not at all looking like he was inconvenienced by this. This was because Yang Zhai's experience was more than Chen Ki's. He had the experience of three Lives. First on earth, second in his previous clan, and third was his present life. His experience far exceeded Chen Ki's. But because of his left arm missing, as well as Chen Ki's ruthless methods, he could not gain the advantage.

On the other side, 

"Do you think we should help him?" Bae Ah wanted to help Yang Zhai. After all, if the two of them also joined in, they could easily defeat Chen Ki.

"No, you know as well as I do that Yang Zhai would never let us help him. This would be cheating if we did this. Besides, the situation is not that bad, we don't know who would win." Cho Byeol stopped Bae Ah from interfering. She knew that Yang Zhai would rather fight alone than gang up on someone if the battle was commenced fairly.

Back to the battle,

Yang Zhai and Chen Ki had already started the battle again. Yang Zhai's speed had increased because of his body's previous technique. So did the power of his short-round sword blades. Their speed, as well as the power, had increased by double. Chen Ki tried to use his vines to defend against the vines, but some would still manage to bypass the vines and reach him. Because of his ability, he was unable to move and had to defend against the blades with his defensive treasure. On the other hand, the green smoke needed an amount of time to be prepared, but Yang Zhai was shooting blades with his right hand, and therefore he was also unable to use the green smoke to make Chen Ki withdraw his vine technique. 

Chen Ki's defensive treasure could only defend him against so many attacks. He was slowly accumulating injuries on his body. He knew that at this rate he would eventually lose. Thus, he withdrew his hands and activated his defensive barrier at full power. He then summoned the black smog with his left hand and made the blood ball absorb the black smoke. The small ball that was three inches in size changed its color to black. Chen Ki tried to close the distance between himself and Yang Zhai as much as possible, and then threw the black ball at Yang Zhai with full force. Unexpectedly, the speed of the ball increased by ten times, reaching Yang Zhai in no time. 

Yang Zhai was caught off guard and was hit by the ball. The ball exploded into black blood that covered Yang Zhai's body. His defensive treasure and increased body strength managed to endure most of the power, but his body still burned in some areas. It was as if acid was thrown at him. The burn marks started to appear on his body.

Both Yang Zhai and Chen Ki were injured now. They were slowly accumulating injuries on their bodies. They continued their fight.

At dusk, 

"Hraaaaaarrhh, .." Bae Ah yawned, 

"Is this ever going to end? Come on already, I am bored here. They have been going at it for almost six hours. When is this going to end?"

"Hey now, don't be lazy. Don't you see how intense the fight is? This fight is going to be renowned in history" Cho Byeol said with a serious expression whilst looking at the fight.

At the same time,

Yang Zhai and Chen Ki were only two meters away from each other.

"Aahhhha, .." Chen Ki shouted and charged at Yang Zhai with a punch.

After about five seconds, he managed to finally reach Yang Zhai. He punched fiercely at Zhai's face. Well, that's what Chen Ki thought, at least. But the punch only moved Yang Zhai's face slightly to the left. Both of their backs bent a little, their arms were almost hanging. They stood limply. Their bodies were swaying a little.

Yang Zhai readied his right arm with difficulty and punched Chen Ki's left cheek. It took him seven seconds to do that.

"Ahaaaha, … How do you like that?" Yang Zhai's punch was earth-shattering, according to his opinion. But it didn't do anything at all.

There was the sound of a crow cawing.

Bae Ah:"..."

"Intense, huh, …." Bae Ah couldn't believe that this battle was intense. Now, even a Rank 1 cultivator could defeat them in the condition they were in.

"And a history renowned battle at that." Bae Ah was amazed at Cho Byeol's seriousness about this battle.

The serious and intense battle was still going on between Yang Zhai and Chen Ki when suddenly a punch sent Chen Ki to the ground. He was defeated. He was defeated just like that?!

Yang Zhai:"..."

Cho Byeol:"..."

"When did she go there?" Cho Byeol looked to her side and saw that Bae Ah was not there. It seemed that she didn't notice her because she was too focused on the fight.

"Why did you interrupt us?" Yang Zhai asked Bae Ah.

"Why, you ask me why? You two are going at it for about six hours. And if I didn't interfere, I don't know how much more time you guys will take." Bae Ah shouted at Yang Zhai.

Yang Zhai:"..."

"Anyway, what are you going to do with him? I say we should kill him, or he may come after your Black-Flower leaves, or even try to sneak attack us. What do you say?" She asked Yang Zhai whilst looking at Chen Ki.

When Chen Ki heard this and saw the look in Bae Ah's eyes, he got scared.

"No, I would rather die than cheat. Let him go." Yang Zhai said with a deep voice and waved his hand.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yeah, let's leave,"

"If you say so,"

Following this, all three of them left after healing Yang Zhai a little.

"Ahaaaha, …You three, just you wait. I will take my revenge on you." Chen Ki shouted after the three of them left.

Meanwhile, in the cave, 

"Don't you think that we should go to the lake to look after the flowers, instead of coming here," Bae Ah inquired from Yang Zhai.

"No, he won't be able to do anything to the flowers for a few days, in the condition he is now. We should heal first before going there. We will go there in about three days."

Yang Zhai calculated. He knew that he needed to heal himself right now. If some beast appears near the lake, it would not be beneficial to them. Therefore, he hoped to heal himself first before going there.
