Ivan started breathing unevenly. His body started trembling. He was trying hard to get rid of something. The moment he witnessed before replayed in his mind. Kai stood in between him and his stepbrother Xavier. Then something he saw that made him sweat profusely.

Xavier aimed his gun at Kai and pulled the trigger. The bullet shot out of the gun and straight hit Kai's chest made him wake up with a gasp.

"Kai...Kai....Don't kill...Kai" he blabbered, coming back to the conscious state.

Kai immediately ran to him and held him securely in his embrace. Ivan looked at him with pearly eyes and concern on his face. He cupped his face, making sure to feel his liveliness. His thumb lightly caressed over the former's skin. He had already prevented his manfriend's bleeding nose and vanished injured marks when in the unconscious state.
