Raon needed to buy some time, and the best way to do that was to turn the powers against each other. Raon knew he couldn't convince them because he was too weak. However, that same logic didn't apply to the current acting chief. Raon quickly wiped his face of tears and left the study. He started searching inside the chief's house for the acting chief and found him in the living room, reading a document. Raon greeted him and followed up with, "I have a plan that might give us some time."
"Huh? What do you have in mind?" the acting chief replied.
"I know what Adam was talking about and have found the method. I am the only person who knows the method, and I want to use that to gain allies. We give them the method, and they protect us. One power won't be enough, so we would need an alliance."
"I can understand what you mean, but who would even agree?"
"It's simple. The elves, to protect the world tree. The dwarfs, to protect their heritage. And lastly, any dragons we can meet."
