Being Ambushed By Wild Wind Baboons

Tang Ya said, "Lets go."

She then leads the group of four through the outer area of the Star Dou forest; with Tang Ya walking in the lead position, Huo Yuhao and Li Yan in the middle, whilst Bei Bei remained behind in the back of the group.

The four of them suddenly sped up simultaneously, without warning, rushing even deeper into the outer area of the great Star Dou Forest.

After obtaining his first spirit ring, Li Yan instinctively notices that his cultivation base has risen by 1 cultivation realm, and his body was slightly a bit stronger, but he could not keep up the pace with either Tang Ya or Bei bei's speed. The same also implies to Huo Yuhao, as he is sort of within the same situation as Li Yan.

'I'm becoming tired from trying to keep up the paste of senior brother Bei and eldest sister Xiao Ya. At the rate that we are going, I would have expended most of my spiritual energy before we even reached our destination.' Li Yan thought.

Li Yan then thought up an idea, as he then summons his spirit grimoire, and calls out Sun Wu through the mental connection.

'Sun Wu.'

A short while later, a beam of light then shown out from Li Yan's spirit grimoire, as Sun Wu appears readily in front of him.

Li Yan then jumps onto the back of Sun Wu, his child like figure was extremely light and small, thereby making it alot easier for Sun Wu to carry him.

With Sun Wu being an adolescent yellow vervet monkey, his spirit beast body tends to be alot stronger than an average adult male. So carrying Li Yan around on his back is like carrying a 10 Kg bag of rice on his back.

Li Yan then tightly wrapped his child like arms around Sun Wu's neck to securely fasten himself in place, so that he won't accidentally fall of whenever Sun Wu runs or jump around.

"Chase after them." Li Yan issued a verbal command towards Sun Wu, which was simple enough for him to understand.

Li Yan was originally lagging behind Tang Ya and Bei Bei, with Huo Yuhao accompanying him. But now with Sun Wu's help, he was able to easily catch up with Tang Ya, who leading the group.

Huo Yuhao and Bei Bei was pleasantly surprised by Sun Wu's physical capabilities, as Bei Bei couldn't help but asked, "Is that his spirit essence? A yellow vervet monkey as his spirit essence."

Huo Yuhao then answered Bei Bei's question, "The yellow vervet monkey is not his spirit essence, but rather his spirit grimoire spirit ability."

Huo Yuhao then explains to Bei Bei, Li Yan's spirit essence, "His spirit essence the spirit grimoire is able to turn the spirit beast that he killed and absorbed their spirit ring into a spirit beast companion. The spirit beast companion is able to fight and grow alongside the user, almost as if it was alive."

"The spirit beast companion will grow alongside the user, as his cultivation base increases, the spirit beast companion will gradually evolve and become stronger, comparable to an actual spirit essence." Huo Yuhao explains.

Bei Bei was pleasantly surprised by Li Yan's potential.

"Hmmm, interesting." as he then expresses his sense of excitement, finding it quite amusing.

"Going by that logic, Li Yan's spirit essence the spirit grimoire is extremely versatile and quite strong if used correctly." Bei Bei said so towards Huo Yuhao.

Huo Yuhao then replies with a simple, "I guess so."

Huo Yuhao's body is beginning to tire out, having rapidly depleted his own reserved of spiritual energy. He is no longer able to keep up with the group.

"I've got you." Bei Bei said to Huo Yuhao.

That is when Bei Bei decided to butt in and intervenes, supporting Huo Yuhao by sharing some of his own spiritual energy in order to replenish Huo Yuhao's reserves, which Huo Yuhao greatly appreciates.

"Thank you, senior brother Bei." Huo Yuhao said.

Bei Bei lightly places his left hand over Huo Yuhao's back, with the intention of helping Huo Yuhao. He then rapidly began to pour his own spiritual energy into Huo Yuhao, restoring Huo Yuhao's spare reserve, whilst at the same time, aiding him in the circumvention of spiritual energy inside his body.

Almost two hours had unknowingly passed, with the surroundings area now filled with lush dense green forests...

A bell ringing noise resounded inside of Li Yan's head, as the system log within the spirit grimoire is updated.

The air had turned much fresher and cleaner, being slowly purified by the wild plant life of the great Star Dou Forest, but there seems to be a faint sense of danger emanating from within the depths of the great Star Dou Forest. The closer you get towards the center of the great Star Dou Forest, the apparent and obvious that sense of danger has become.

At this moment, Tang Ya who has been walking in the front of the group, immediately reacted, she then suddenly let out a cold snort.

On the ground, where she was previously before, a burst of compressed air suddenly struct the location where Tang Ya was previously standing. Tang Ya then glides backwards, thereby escaping the blast radius of the compressed air bomb.

Her footsteps then turned illusory, resembling a delusive ghost. Her body instantly become a consecutive collection of afterimages, as she then pounced towards the direction of the large tree on the group's right hand side.

The only thing that Huo Yuhao and Li Yan could fainly see was a few cold yellow light, resembling beast's eyes, flickering outwards behind the covers of some trees.

Until a wild wind baboon, similar to the ones that previously attacked Huo Yuhao and almost killed him, then jumps down from atop the treetop.

Tang Ya unleashes very swift movements, motioning her right hand, as something quite blurry then shot out from right beneath her wrists.

The blurry objects that shot out from Tang Ya's wrist, it struck the wild wind baboon dead center on the forehead and killing it almost instantly.

Tang Ya also send some blurry objects flying in other directions as well, each struck a target, with the numerous dead carcases of wild wind baboon plummeting towards the ground.

Tang Ya unhappily said, whilst flipping her ponytail hair around in annoyance, "These wind baboons are simply the most detestable creatures. Not only do they take the initiative to attack, they also even launch capable sneak attacks."

Huo Yuhao hadn't used his spirit eyes earlier, so he was entirely unable to see how Tang Ya was able to killed all of the bunch of wild wind baboons.

"Teacher Tang Ya, did you used a spirit skill just now?" Huo Yuhao asked Tang Ya.

"No, she didn't used a spirit skill, but rather hidden weapons." Li Yan said.

Bei Bei then reassures Li Yan that his answer was indeed correct. "Xiao Ya, did indeed used hidden weapons to be exact."

Tang Ya was slightly proud of herself as she then said, "That wasn't a spirit skill, but rather the synergy of Tang Sect's ghost shadow perplexing track technique and the hidden weapons."

"Wasn't it awesome, Xiao Hao & Xiao Yan. If you cultivate our Tang Sect's techniques properly, then one day, you will also be able to use them effectively together as I do in the future." Tang Ya said so excitedly.

"Xiao Ya, be careful!" Bei Bei said, his facial expression suddenly turned serious.

Bei Bei suddenly raises his right hand and made an illusory grabbing movement towards Tang Ya, whilst performing the controlling crane capturing dragon technique.

Clearly, Bei Bei and Tang Ya have worked together quite frequently, showcasing blinding faith and trust for each other, as Tang Ya's toes tapped the ground lightly and her body is flung upwards. She seemed to be weightless as she was pulled on over by the gravitational pulling force exerted by Bei Bei's controlling crane capturing dragon technique.

A pitch black shadow instantly fell on over towards the ground and then let out a light hissing noise. Following that, a strong sweet sense of aroma then assaulted the senses of everyone present.

'What is this sweet aroma?' Li Yan thought to himself, then it instantly hit him.

'Could it possibly be something like a fly pitcher that uses a sweet aroma to lure insects into a trap and then slowly digest it in their acidic fluids.' Li Yan seriously thought to himself.

Li Yan lightly stabs his thumb with the nails of his index finger, and he felt a slight pain, clearly indicating that the substance does impede his sense of pain, but his body now started to become stiff.

It was now that Li Yan realises, 'It's paralysis poison.' Li Yan quickly covered his mouth and retreated outside the perimeters of the poisonous gas, but Li Yan has already inhaled too much of poisonous gas that it is starting to affect his overall bodily functions.

Li Yan then quickly circumvent the spiritual energy inside of his body in order to expell the foreign poison from his inside body, whilst Tang Ya and Bei Bei are keeping the enemy busy.

'Sun Wu, protect me whilst I try to expell the foreign poison from my body.' Li Yan then summons Sun Wu from his spirit grimoire and immediately instructed it to guard him. Otherwise, he would be left exposed and unprotected, a potential easy target for other wild spirit beasts to prey upon.

Huo Yuhao's mind then felt a bit dizzy, but a wave of icy air instantly surged through his body, quickly sealing his mouth and nasal passage.

An icy mist flew slightly outwards from Huo Yuhao's mouth and nose, causing the sweet smelling poisonous gas that he previously inhaled to be disperse into the air.

'An ice attribute! My second spirit essence is an ice attribute.' Huo Yuhao immediately questions the stream of icy air's origins. However, he clearly has no control over it.

Just as Huo Yuhao was starting to feel pleased with himself, after awakening his second spirit essence, Tang Ya had been pulled closer by the gravitational suction force of Bei Bei's controlling crane capturing dragon technique.

She then used her right hand to press on Bei Bei's shoulder, causing her delicate feminine body to curl up, and then flips around in mid air to land behind Bei Bei's figure.

Two light yellow spirit ring then simultaneously rose up from beneath Tang Ya's legs, the bright yellow colours moving up and down in a rhythmical manner. Her two spirit rings were unexpectedly of hundred years old.

In that instant, long thick blue vines then rapidly released all around Tang Ya's body. One of them, just so happens to wrapped around Huo Yuhao's waist, while more are dispersed into the surrounding distance.

With vines wrapped around Huo Yuhao's waist, Tang Ya then readily jumps back drawing some distance away from the target, whilst carrying around Huo Yuhao like baggage, arriving in front of Li Yan and Sun Wu.
