Claire sat in the living room, her mind busy. The days at home had given her plenty of time to think, and she realized she needed to get back to work to recover a sense of normality. She decided it was time to talk to her grandpa, Trevor, about returning to the office.
Trevor was in his study, reading a newspaper, when Claire walked in. She cleared her throat, and he looked up, his eyes warming when he saw her.
"Grandpa, can we talk?" Claire asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Of course, sweetheart. What's on your mind?" Trevor folded the newspaper and gave her his full attention.
"I've been thinking, and I believe it's time for me to go back to the office," Claire said, her voice strong but soft.
Trevor's expression instantly turned worried. "Claire, you've just been through a major accident. You need to rest and heal fully before thinking about work."
