Joshua felt a lot of fear. It was starting to hit them what the story meant. His voice was rough as he asked, "What are they saying?"
Nathan showed Joshua a live feed on his phone. It said, "Business tycoon Joshua Cane Caught in Scandal with Secretary Mia." The video showed how crazy the room was, Joshua's angry reaction, and Mia's performance, which made her cry.
Joshua was horrified as the experts talked about what they thought about his connection with Mia, what it meant for his business, and what might happen as a result. It was terrible for PR.
"We need to get ahead of this," Nathan said in a hurried voice. "You should say something, deny the accusations, and stay away from Mia." We can't let this ruin you."
Joshua nodded, feeling a sense of hopelessness he hadn't experienced in years. "Alright, let's go. We need to fix this."
