Trip 6, Firework Festival

As they sit for an hour, people start arriving in a crowd, they set up stalls and many cars arrive filling up the area that was just empty not long ago, Asahi's face is filled with confusion as he watches people set up their stalls and the sounds of people yelling as they quickly go from one place to another as he didn't know that there was a festival happening that day, he was asking what was going on to Miyako, but she sat still and only watched.

To her, the festival was a show of the amount of time they had left until the end of the day, as the stalls slowly popped up one by one after each other, she only stared silently thinking about what she wanted to do during the festival, she was excited after seeing how a festival is set up, but at the same time she didn't want it to end, she wanted to keep watching the festival grow larger until it couldn't anymore.

Meanwhile, Asahi is still wondering what was happening before him, Miyako stood up after awhile and asked if Asahi wanted to go for another walk while waiting, this time she spoke to him in a friendlier tone, which he was relieved to hear.

They both walked along the sidewalk of the street as cars passed by, Miyako still feels guilt for causing the situation as she still felt that Asahi might actually be hostile towards her but only faking his attention, Miyako was tired of feeling that way and decided to ask him about it as it was the last day they had together, she didn't want to leave with regrets either.

Asahi is frantically trying to think of why Miyako was acting the way she was but still came up empty handed and decided to just ask her about it later as he didn't want to leave with an important question still on his mind.

When the Festival had finished being set up, Miyako and Asahi were still on a walk far away.

Meanwhile, many people were pouring into the Festival's main area, a fireworks show was said to start in a couple hours from when people had started entering, Miyako and Asahi see the lights in the festival shining over a building so they rushed to head back to it.

Upon arriving back at the festival, they both see a large crowd of people at a stall, it was too crowded to see what the stall was so they decided to go and see what was going on even though they didn't want to but still felt like seeing, as they near the crowd, the people start dispersing into the area, the place where the crowd was blocking was now visible from behind it.

It was a red stall that had bright lights around it which were yellow, a low hanging light on the inside, the stall had a game with a toy gun placed on the counter, Asahi and Miyako slowly walk towards the stall nervously because the crowd had gotten closer to them after moving to another stall, they'd still felt awkward after taking a walk by themselves around the area several times without saying a word.

Asahi walks up to the front counter of the stall and sees an old man tidying himself, "Welcome, I'm sorry but were out of toys right now could you come back later?" The old man says with a shaky voice, Asahi takes a look around the inside of the stall as Miyako walks towards it as well, they both see that the game rewards a toy after shooting down three tin cans using a gun that shot rubber balls.

Seeing as they didn't know what to do since Miyako hadn't really planned much for when they went to the festival, Asahi sees an old woman carrying a box to the stall, it was the old woman from the flower shop, "Asahi? What are you doing here?" The old woman asks, "Do you know them?" The old man looks back at the old woman and back at Asahi, "Didn't think you would be helping out here." Asahi is surprised at the old woman's sudden appearance and doesn't really know what to say.

"Want some help with that?" Miyako stands beside Asahi and asks, the old man looks back at the old woman waiting for an answer from her, "Sure, but don't overdo yourself." The old woman places down the box as the old man starts taking the toys out of it, Miyako walks behind the counter to help the old man put the toys on the shelf that were slightly too high for him to reach easily, Asahi goes to help the old woman carry the boxes back to the stall.

Asahi follows the old woman past an old shack, the lamps on the path illuminated the area, only the sound of footsteps on bricks were heard by Asahi, until the old woman says something which surprised him, "Miyako is a great person, but because she is a great person means she will regret many things, you need to help her, but don't forget about yourself, seeing you two enjoying life together made me want to enjoy what time I had left as well." Asahi's face turns from surprise to a smile after awhile, "I know." He responds.

Back at the stall, few children show up with their parents, one father of a child who is a close friend of the old man's shows up to the stall, "Hello! It's been awhile since we saw each other, want to have a chat?" The old man puts his hands behind his back and smiles at the man, "Sure, how about we go get some fried noodles over there and catch up a bit?" The old man looks back at Miyako worried that she might not be able to run the stall properly without him, "I can handle the stall, you go and talk with each other, you haven't met in a long time right? catching up is important." With that, the old man went to buy noodles at another stall with the man.

More people arrive at the stall and Miyako is able to help them until the old man and the young man came back from the other stall, "Thank you for doing this for me." The old man told Miyako as he passed by the front of the store, The pair go behind the stall where there is a table and two chairs, they sit down and start talking, "How is your wife?" The old man asks, "She's fine, we only got married six days ago so I'm still kind of nervous about what's going to happen next." They continue talking as Miyako hears their conversation, she was envious of them but knew that she shouldn't as she got herself into this situation.

She starts wondering about her and Asahi and what was going to happen tomorrow, Asahi returns to the stall to drop off a box, "Thank you for helping the stall out for us Miyako." The old woman notices that neither Miyako or Asahi said a word to each other during that time, so she asked Miyako to follow her to go on a walk around the festival, "It's fine I can help at the stall myself." But the old woman insists that she follow her, "If you insist..." Miyako leaves the stall to Asahi and walks away with the old woman.

Meanwhile, the old an finishes his conversation with the young man at the back of the stall and goes back to work at the front desk with Asahi, "Where did the girl go?" The old man asks, Asahi points at the old woman and Miyako walking away from the stall to go and walk around the festival, both the old man and Asahi are wondering what they could be doing.
