The next day...
At noon, hundreds of people were gathered in the central part of Cusca, in front of Mero's store.
There, a small platform had been set up by Mero's slaves, following a pattern that Tenur had designed on his master's orders for the execution of the patriarch Nassar.
Since he and his men were already used to working with wood from the many times they had had to rebuild structures in the store, they finished it before dawn.
With that, those men from Mero's store in Cusca were waiting for customers at their workplace while crowds of servants, nobles, and free men gathered in front of that place.
Slaves had no right to attend a trial and execution of nobles in Noskain, so none of these men and women could see it.
Slaves were not even considered human by many of these people there!
