A Cromwell Rogue

After being set up for her father's death, Josephine finds herself at a conundrum. The morning her life turned upside down happened unexpectantly. One Saturday that would be ruined when she found her father dead. It was little known to her but at the time... it was a blessing in disguise. Her father was the only nicest man she'd ever known. He cared for her deeply and in return she loved him with her whole heart. He was the only one keeping her in that wretch pack. A pack that for years ridiculed her for being wolf-less and of Cromwell blood. A bloodline decended from rogues. Now she would be free to leave... but would she want to? She still didn't know who killed her father.

C27. Break Out

Jossie's POV:

I eyed over the uniform of the bitch that's been soaking my floor full of pig blood everynight since I've been here. Her name tag told me she was a Madison. I felt rage boiling over as nothing could hold me back. I had already knocked her unconscious but that wasn't enough.

She needed more done to her.

I squashed her eye as if it was a grape. I stepped towards her and leaned down. This wasn't as thrilling as if she'd be awake... I couldn't stand to see her breathing. The very thought that she would get to live through this... Bothered me. Madison was a bleach blonde bitch. I didn't hesitate when I had it locked in my mind. I was going to kill her. I put my hands around her head and squeezed as I thought about crushing her skull in. I was too weak... My hands traveled down her head as I wrapped them firmly across the base. I was snapping her neck before it even occured to me.

It felt good as I watched my first kill go limp as I let go of her head. I stepped away as I felt unnerved from what I did. This wasn't me. I didn't know I was capibal of hurting someone else. But, this felt good to unleash. I was letting go. I was letting my desires happen. I was taking control now. No more morals. I'm done trying to be nice. I don't want to be her anymore. I don't want to be the weak and scared girl alone and waiting for death.

This girl in front of me wasn't the only one on my shit list. Her death illuminated something deep within me. It was so good. It was a good feeling. I felt alive now. I was in control and getting what I wanted.

I didn't let the other two get away as I followed them to the door that wouldn't budge for them. I was angry at everyone. I channeled the anger I was feeling for the loss of Jude. I felt unhinged. I didn't have her for long... But, even I know that without her... I will loose my sanity. Nothing will tie me down.

I'm a loose cannon of hormones. The alarm blazed as it warned the whole building. The other two were Brianna and Hailey. Their nametags stated the obvious. Bianna was a dark haired woman not much older than me and Hailey was not far off the same looks. They could be sisters. They were in the station's uniform but I had a feeling they didn't do much field work.

"Why are you doing this?" Brianna cried out as she put a hand out to protect Hailey. Hailey was trying to pry the door open with her fingernails. Looks like the outside team had no intentions of letting me off the hall to play. I balled up my fist and struck Bianna across the face. Her hand covered her cheek as she cried. "You phsyco bitch!" She screamed in anger. I must have struck a nerve because Bianna's bones started to pop as her trasformation took place. Her wolf is coming out to play. I could see the fight or flight was written on her face.

I was the problem here. I was the enemy they'd been dreaming of. I was becoming the monster they should fear. My knuckles stung from the last blow I delievered. The small realization hit me as the pain subsided from my body's natrual ability to heal at an abnormal rate. Hailey on the other hand looked out of her mind filled with fear. Her nose was forming snot bubbles as she looked like a cornered rat. Too much of a coward to face me as she hid in her own cacoon against the door.

I reached out and gripped Brianna by her hair as I yanked her close to me. She was surprised as I shown no fear. She screamed as she was forced to come closer to me. Her body was much bigger than mine and she was prepared this time as she took me to the ground with her weight. She was hellbent on winning. Her body was breaking to reform into a wolf as she sat up on me and punched me right in the eye. The next punch coming soon after from her other fist. I didn't expect it as she kept throwing punches. She was enraged now.

"THIS. IS. FOR. MADISON!" She screamed in my face as she threw her hands down by my head to finish trasforming. Her wolf coming out of her trasformation as a solid white wolf with gray markings and black undertones. She grew in size as she towered over me. I felt my face bruising from the punches. My eyes swelling and the taste of iron came from biting my tongue.

Brianna's sharp fangs threatened as she growled in my face. Her paws digged into my chest as her sharp claws tore my jumpsuit apart and ripped into my skin. I screamed as the pain was unreal. I reached out to try to stop her but she bit my hand without hesitation and started to tear through my flesh once more as she started to drag me and play tug a war with my arm.

Am I losing already? I wasn't prepared for her to strike back. My eyes filled with tears as I couldn't handle crying from my aching face. I felt like giving in as my anger seemed pointless now. I wasn't able to control my trasformation like her. I wasn't able to focus my mind and go there. Go across the line and become a wolf. I was still trapped in my human flesh. With no help from Jude.

I heard a gun go off then somewhere in the building. The sound was enough of a distraction as Brianna's wolf ears perked in the same direction. I made my move as I took her jaw with my other hand and pried my hand out as I forced her mouth to open. I kept going as I got my hand free and began to snap her jaw. She whined at the top of her vocals as she backed away from me. Her mouth dangled as I let her go to watch. Her paws swatted as she backed away from me fast. She tucked her tail and ran suddenly to the other end of the hall. Out of my sight.

I'd chase after her but my eyes turned to look at Hailey. She was balled up against the door crying. I caught her scent. She was just an omega. She had no bone in her body to fight me. I looked up at the cameras that focused on the doorway. I got up as I was determined to get out of here. I walked up to her and grabbed her ponytail before forcing her to stand and shoved her face up against the door's window as I looked at the camera.

I pulled her back as I wrapped her hair around my hand and then slammed her head into the door. I could hear her whimpering as she tried not to make much noise. I looked at the camera before growing at Hailey. I eyed her body over before finding a walkie on her hip and took it from her. I eyed it over before pressing a button to communicate with them on the other side.

"Open seasame," I said into the walkie. I heard a couple of more gunshots go off this time they were near the door. I couldn't see from the otherside. But, when the door buzzed I knew to step back. I pulled the girl back up against my body as I wrapped an arm around her neck to hold her against me. I walked through the door and used her as a human shield.

My eyes circled the hall until someone stepped out into the hall. It was Casimir. He came from the control room. I felt relieved to see Casimir holding a gun as he eyed me down. His jumpsuit was covered in blood as he held out a hand for me. He offered it as a greeting. But, I wouldn't take it. I just stood there with a raised eyebrow. I was awestruck from seeing him. I didn't expect him to attempt to escape. Was he the reason why the alarms were going off? It makes sense now... "What are you doing out of the cell?" He asked in amusement. "I'm the one getting us out of here."

"Casimir?" I asked as I shared how comical this was. "Who said I needed saving?" He frowned as he let his hand down and looked suspicious then.

"Hey, you didn't kill your father... did you?" He asked as he sounded uncertain then.

"No!" I scoffed out and frowned. Why's he asking me that now of all time? Isn't that something I should be checking in with him on? "Did you?" I asked to make sure.

     I already believed he didn't.

Why would either of us question each other now.

     We're just trying to live.

He looked amused by my answer before shaking his head to tell me, 'no.'

"I know this building, follow me," I told him as I had it mapped out in my head on where to go. We can escape out the back. I'll take him to the inpound and we can steal a car and get out of here. I let go of Hailey and shoved her away from us. "Get lost," I told her with an angry growl. I didn't think she'd be much of a threat. She was too weak to fight both of us. She took off in the opposite direction from us as she ran for the hallway. I walked over to Casimir and took his hand. I hesitated when our fingers interlocked. It was strange getting to touch someone.

"Where are we going?" He asked. I took lead in guiding us down the hall. We came up to a corner. The alarm was still blazing. I peaked around the corner to see the cost was clear. There were a few dead guards. I caught the faint glimmer of moonlight from the small windows illuminating the hall. They were too high up to reach and too small to crawl through. Casimir must have shot them earlier.

"I figured we could get out of here fast if I lead. I know the inpound is close by we can steal a vehicle from it," I explained. The scent of gasoline will confuse my packmates and cover our trail. We'll stop somewhere nearby and figure out where to go from there on.

I looked back at him. His eyes were filled with worry. I guess he wasn't sure how I would reaact to the dead guards. It's a good thing he didn't see me kill that woman from earlier. With the way I... handled her... He wouldn't believe me even for a million dollars if I still kept telling him I didn't kill my father. Not that I really did it... It would be too hard to explain why I got carried away with that girl. I didn't want to explain it. I pulled him with me onto the new hall.

I recognized there would be a way out of the building just up ahead. The back doors would lead out to the parking lot. If it's night out then there probably aren't too many people here. It's night shift after all. No wonder he was able to reach me so fast.

With the alarms going off I'm sure my uncle has been notified something is wrong here. He'll be on his way. We have to get out of here. I don't think we can escape him twice. I looked back at him as I realized he wasn't who I thought he was at first. He's actually managed to escape my uncle once before... And, on his own. Now he's breaking out of here like its nothing. He's totally different from me. I was prepared to wait to die if it wasn't for... the luck I had with those she-wolves.

Veronica... that she-wolf told me Nathalie is staying with her. I don't know where Veronica lives... But, I'm sure I can find out. I just don't know how. I have to let Nathalie know she can go home now. I'll be fine without her help.

Casimir stopped me when we reached the doors to the outside. He put me behind him as he carefully opened the doors and peeked outside. Suddenly I heard a few shouts down the hall. I grabbed his arm as I looked behind us to see a few guards coming with taser guns. I shoved Casimir through the door and took the gun from him. I used the door as a shield and made a warning shot at the guards. When I was sure they'd back off to hide I grabbed Casimir and started running for the woods.

"Come on!" I shouted. We won't have time to stop at the inpound at this rate. Casimir stripped suddenly and trasformed into his familiar wolf form. He was almost as tall as I was. He went under my legs suddenly. I had to act fast as I grabbed onto his fur and tightened my thighs around his body. He took off running suddenly. Casimir seems bigger then the last time I saw him in this form. Did he grow!? I leaned down to avoid getting hit by low branches from the trees.

"Casimir, can you track down that woman from earlier that came to visit me? Her name is Veronica. My friend is at her house. I want to let her know she can leave now and that I'm safe." Casimir growled in slight annoyance but I believed he would take me where I wanted to go. I don't know how long we'll have before the pack catches up to us. I looked over my shoulder to make sure we weren't being followed. They were still behind on coming after us.
