Knock!
Knock!
Knock!
She stood by the closed door for almost a minute, debating whether to open it or pretend she was not home.
She already knew who was behind it. But did she want to see her unwanted visitor? But then again, the more important question was, did she wish to go out with him?
"I know you are still in there. I can hear you pacing and breathing." He tauntingly said as if he was leaning on her door based on the sound of his voice.
She suddenly imagined his ears pinned on the other side of the door, listening in. But she seriously doubted that he heard her breathe.
"He is just guessing." She soundlessly muttered as she stepped away from the door, hoping to keep quiet.
She had been awake very early that morning. Truthfully, she hardly had any sleep. Last night's event, despite her best efforts, kept replaying in her mind, pestering her all night.
