Chapter 185: Killing intent
Kang Shuchun turns to Elder Wu with fresh blood covering her face, "He's the only lead we have. What are we going to do now." It was like his comment had no effect on her at all. Without Gu Qingshan, Kang Shuchun knows they have lost their lead.
"Forget about him, my foolish disciple. We still have others to deal with." Elder Wu assures her. There is a reason why he wasn't fazed when Gu Qingshan died. There were a bunch of others at the school ground, waiting to be interrogated.
...
"Are you trying to protect them now, master?" Ridicule can be heard in her voice as Kang Shuchun stares down Elder Wu.
You still want to stop me after what you did to me?! The girl has a grudge against Elder Wu, head-chopping her. She could still feel the pain. You're not going to get me this time! All of her instincts are on full alert, ready for anything that comes at him.
Even if Elder Wu's her master, it didn't mean that he could catch her off guard now.
Oh, please. Do you think I want to knock you out again? Chopping the back of her head was a one-time use. If he tries it a second time, it would be trying to put a wild tiger to sleep with his legs and hands tied behind his back! He wasn't reckless enough to do something. It would be seeking death.
Tho, there is another reason,
Why do you think I would want to stop you? He wanted nothing more than to kill each of the thugs with his bare hands.
He slowly glances at the palm of his hand. Small blood clots have formed on his injured wounds. However, Kang Shuchun wasn't the one to make the wounds on his hand.
He, himself, was the one who inflicted the wounds.
Though Elder Wu had been calm and indifferent as he watched the fight, inside, he was absolutely furious. As he kept telling Kang Shuchun to calm down, he was also telling himself to do the same as well. He knows what he has to do.
Even as Lu Chen is getting beaten to the ground by the thugs, Elder Wu still stuck true to his idea. But that didn't stop him from not wanting to protect him. Out of frustration and anger, he clenched his fist so tightly, tightly enough to have blood coming out. The pain was the only thing stopping him from going crazy and charging in like Kang Shuchun.
But the pain and wait were more than worth it.
Elder Wu had gained a lot of information about Lu Chen out of the fight. Witnessing how Lu Chen pushed himself like that was something he found praiseworthy and reckless. However, Elder Wu found it odd that Lu Chen's personality has changed so much. Like an animal surrounded by a pack of enemies, it forced the animal to become crazy.
The absurd hidden strength and the large amount of stamina Lu Chen had is shocking. Yet, there was something more significant that Elder Wu found out.
Besides the absurd stamina Lu Chen displayed, the other thing that made Elder Wu weirded out is the killing intent he had shown. That type of killing intent isn't something that anybody would or should have. Not even he had such killing intent at that age. Killing intent equals that of professional killers and assassins.
Not a child.
What kinds of things has the young master experienced behind my back to have such a thick killing intent? Elder Wu couldn't understand how Lu Chen gained something like that. He knows that Lu Chen has been born under a rock, shielded from the horrors of the outside world. So it was next to impossible for him to gain so much bloodlust out of revenge. Then another thought came into his mind,
Was he born with it then? That was the other notion he had.
Did this fight cause his bloodlust to be stimulated? Elder Wu kinda understands now how Lu Chen's bloodlust has come about.
However, if this was the case, Elder Wu frowns as he begins to doubt,
Should I continue to train him?
