I lay down in my king-size bed, and my feet hang off the edge. A regular king can only fit a person up to 6'6, and we can't afford a California king. A California king goes up to 7'4, which out be perfect for me. I grab my phone and start looking at highlights from last NBA season. The NBA season starts again next month in October, so it's just old games until then. My youtube recommendations are from several different things: gaming channels, sports channels, and others. I have plenty to watch.

I'm not the type to watch his own highlights. It feels really pretentious. Sometimes I see some of my game highlights on youtube uploaded by House of Highlights, and they average 5 million views. It's both scary and cool that many people have seen at least one of my games. All of them are really good. I'm a one-of-a-kind player. My nickname in the basketball community is The Singularity, after all. I've come a long way over the last few years since I was a freshman. I already have amazing accolades for my age. I pull up my system and see my stats.

Seeing these stats really tell the truth of the story, I'm not going to be beaten by a single person. I'll need to be double or triple-teamed. The only shots I missed during games were from uncalled fouls. I make disgusting shots all the time, and it really demoralizes the opponents. "Do you want any dinner tonight!?" I hear Ellie yell at me from the kitchen. She has evolved into an amazing cook. When I first passed 6 feet tall, she got serious about my meals. The doctors told her I was going to be at least 6'9 when I was done growing.

She took that very seriously, and I'm 6'11 without shoes. A great diet is very important for a person growing as I have, but I doubt the system would have allowed any problems. "Yeah! I'm coming down!" I continue to browse the internet and not just youtube. I open up my Twitter which is my only other social media and I see I've been tagged in more posts. I don't bother reading any of them or watching the clips. I see I have more sponsorship offers from companies in my DMs too. I notice one that isn't normal though.

It's from a lawyer, and he has the certified check next to his name. His direct message to me isn't threatening or causing me trouble. In fact, it's one that is trying to help me. The lawyer's name is Jacob Howards. He represents people in the NBA industry. I read the message, and what I read is more than surprising. I sit down at the table as I smell the delicious food coming from the kitchen. Mr. Howards is saying that it's wrong that I have to go through college to get into the NBA, and he and I can make a case to the NBA so I can go straight there.

The NBA eventually barred high school players from heading straight to the NBA from high school after Lebron James was drafted. Many millions complained and pretty much every player did so as well. I message him back to meet with me this week to discuss the possibility of fighting to go straight to the NBA after I graduate high school. He instantly messages me back, saying we can meet this Wednesday to discuss things. I tell him to meet me after school on Wednesday at my favorite park.

He sends back he'll be there and I place my phone down. "I have some good news, Ellie." She places the plate of food down in front of me and looks at me to explain as she grabs hers and sits down across from me. "I'm meeting with a lawyer this Wednesday to discuss us fighting for me to go straight to the NBA. That way I won't have to waste a year in college." She looks at me with surprise. This could be an amazing opportunity for me, I won't have to work for a college for free while they make millions broadcasting my games.
