The Discovery

Sudden darkness, sounds, he tried to focus on the unfamiliar voice, a male. Something else was here, another consciousness in the dark. He reached out to it, to... her? Yes, a her he'd known this day would come the day he had a sister. What is a sister, the other mind it was confused, he shared his knowledge with her, everything relevant. Oh yes, sister, brother, we're one, one consciousness, one mind.

The voice it attempted to rouse her again, what was it saying? He could help her with that, he transferred all relevant information, languages, dialects, the voice it used a language she still didn't know. Chanting, "Factus de petra et lapide, caro carnis meae, sanguis et os meum" it was chanting a spell of some sort. Good they were getting somewhere. It's mind, search the voices mind, no, she didn't know how. He shared his knowledge on entering the minds of mortals. I understand, she reached out to the mind, to understand, fear, dread. I cannot, there is something terrifying about that mind, I cannot enter.

Silence, *I will enter for you* nothing...* come back to me.* He reached out, timidly she accepted, still frightened. He entered the mind of the voice, "Pjerro" a whisper "You don't belong here Pjerro." Snickering that quickly evolved into laughter. "You have no power here!" He couldn't breathe choking, pain, he must retreat, slam, the door was shut. Silence, little sister? Again timid she answered, he passed on what knowledge he'd gained, En Domas, The Destroyer, the enemy of life. *Can you understand him now?* I can, he wants me to open my eyes. *Then open them* She did for a split second he saw two faces staring down before his vision cleared and he was back in a board room.

All eyes stared at him, confused as to what they had just witnessed. None fiercer than his father, Jevette, the Crajacken King. On Crajack telepathy was used unless a non-telepath was present, then out of politeness they would converse in an appropriate language. *Leave us* Jevette ordered telepathically, everyone departed quickly, quietly, and orderly. Only the two remained, Jevette looked at him expectantly, waiting for the explanation.

* I have a sister* *Congratulations, we knew this day would come.* Jevette waited for the rest. *There's a problem, there was a chanting of a language I did not recognize, so I entered the individuals mind.... It was En Domas, I managed to escape, but I'm compromised.* *Did you understand the chanting?* *Only some of it, I absorbed as much as I could, it'll take time to process all his thoughts.* *This is concerning, how and what he's doing on Sherea we'll need to establish.* *I can answer that, his goal is to create an immortal, a new vessel to continue his path of destruction.* *This sister was created by magic to further the agenda of En Domas.*Jevette mused *It would probably be best if I were kept in isolation for a time. Since sister and I are connected, he may be able to use her against me.*

*We will observe you carefully, you will work to decipher all you picked up from En Domas, if your mother has allied herself with En Domas I fear for the known universe, and beyond.* He then stood up *My son, you have proved yourself superior to your siblings in every way, I hope this unfortunate business doesn't lead to an untimely end. Please surrender yourself to isolation.* Pjerro nodded, rose, and headed twords isolation.

*Did you get that sister? The time may come where I will have to choose between you or Crajack, know I will always choose you.* I will choose you brother, over everything I will choose you.

Eyes open, two figures before her, a tall creature covered in fine golden scales small horns dotted it's head forming a crown, long golden tendrils tightly braided down it's back, flashing yellow eyes, Sherean.

Next to it stood another creature, this one was smaller covered in tan skin, long black hair on his head and face, human, En Domas The Destroyer, The enemy of life "No" he said kneeling down to eye level "Pater" he said pointing to himself, then directing her attention to the other  "Mater" Father, mother. She understood

"Human" he said again pointing to himself "Sherean" pointing to mother, this she had already gathered, thanks to the knowledge of her brother.

Em Domas directed the conversation to mother as he carefully inspected her like you would a valuable object. Touching her hair, inspecting her teeth, peering into her eyes. "Perfecta, absolute perfecta, in mea imagine facta. Oculos tuos habet... Squamae nullae adhuc explicantur;" he listed off "nullos dentes habere."

The more she heard him talk the easier it became to understand, he was happy with her appearance overall, but was still comparing her to her mother. She had her mother's eyes, but lacked mother's scales and fangs. She looked down examining her own hands, fleshy and tan just like father's, only smaller.

"They're human hands sicut meus." Hands like his, she'd never had hands like this before, small and soft. She recalled large powerful hands, with fine grey fur on the back and large claws protruding from her fingertips.

"Forget those hands," she looked back up into father's face studying it, it's a cruel face, an evil face. He smiled, a dark smile, "Cruel, evil, these thoughts are not your thoughts, put them from your mind." Taking her hands in his "These are powerful hands, the kind that will tear down nations, collapse suns, hold the universe at bay. We shall test them."

He held up his hand flat "Mediocris Lux" colorful lights swirled in the palm of his hand, she stared blankly. "Your turn," he nodded at her. She lifted the palm of her hand and tried the words, but no sound came out. She looked back at him, he studied her musing, still holding the multi colored light in one hand he touched the center of her forehead with the other, saying "Mediocris Lux" again.

Colorful lights sprang forth from her palm, he smiled. "Now focus on the light, fill it with negative energy." He said as his eyes glowed red, turning the lights red, a glowing spread over his body, she felt fear, but also hatred. She couldn't help but give in to the negative energy he was radiating, her lights also changed color to match as the energy engulfed her as well. She was slowly overcome with the desire to destroy.

The first part of this book deals with a lot of telepaths, this planets inhabitants communicate with their minds. Let me know if it gets confusing or difficult to follow.
