Maria opened her eyes to the sound of the heavy rainfall, with a pain on her neck stored in wait for her consciousness before she woke up.
"I…. Didn't escape to save my friend?" She muttered to herself, burying her head into the thick blanket.
"Of course you didn't!" Arthur said, walking closer to where she laid.
"I need to save my friend, her soul is lost" Maria spoke with her spirits high but suddenly went low when she saw Arthur's eyes. They were terror.
"And risk your blood? Are you joking a-"
"She's my best friend" Maria cried out, interrupting Arthur's words.
"And?" He asked, waiting for her to say another word. When none escaped from her lips, he spoke up, "You think I'll let you go? Maria, you don't know who you are dealing with! You will never know."
