"Miss Lucy, from the fluent Chinese you speak, are you Chinese?"
Lucy retracted her hand, playing with the sunglasses in her hands; "My parents are Chinese, but they immigrated to the UK. I was born there, but I am currently a French citizen."
"I see," Tara Summer nodded. No wonder her Chinese is so good.
Lucy shrugged, her movements carrying an air of carefree confidence reminiscent of a man's charm; "I apologize for the delay, my plane was late, and I was over an hour late. Since the inconvenience was caused by me, there will naturally be a deduction in the contract to compensate for your loss."
"There was no loss, there's no need for that," Tara Summer was slightly surprised, she didn't expect Lucy to be so principled.
"This is my principle, please respect it." Lucy's tone suddenly turned serious, making it hard for Tara Summer to say anything further.
So, she softly chuckled, "Alright then, Miss Lucy."
"You can just call me Lucy," Lucy corrected her.
