Time passed swiftly.
Ye Jiao spent her day by following after the torture of practice every single day. When it was winter, the temperature dropped tremendously, forcing them to adapt to the new situation as fast as possible.
As spring came, Ye Jiao spent her night training in her room as usual. Over the past few months, she had gotten used with the harsh training they gave. Unfortunately, they would certainly increase the difficulties once she thought she got better. In the end, she had to suffer every single day.
'A bit more.'
Ye Jiao controlled the circulation as she pressed the Eon Energy to the edge of her body. She learned how to push them further because of the wounds she received from the battle every single day and the strain of her muscle. By controlling her Eon Energy to the fullest, she would be able to reach every single detail in her body.
It took time to be able to master them, but she had done this for a long time. Right now, she was pushing to reach the very edge of her body.
Tep.
When she reached the edge, Ye Jiao could feel that her core and body seemed to resonate with one another. It was a weird feeling and hard to describe. All she knew was that her body was brimming with power which started from her core to every fiber of her body.
At the same time, her core grew slightly in size as if it wanted to squeeze the space in her abdomen without leaving any space at all. Eon Energy flew to her body at rapid speed from outside. By this time, the leftover Eon Energy Pill rank 3 that her mother left her was already used up during her training.
Power filled her entire body. Ye Jiao felt extremely comfortable as she continued to absorb the Eon Energy in her surroundings. After an unknown amount of time, Ye Jiao opened her eyes.
"Ai Jiao."
The voice startled her as she turned her head to the side. Seeing a man standing there, Ye Jiao hurriedly stood up to bow down. Unfortunately, the ceiling was too close to her head, resulting in her knocking her head.
Duk!
'Ouch!'
The man shook his head lightly. "You have reached rank 1, so you'll be allowed to go out. However, the ship will only come in around a month's time. During this time, you have to stay here and continue to follow the practice."
"Yes."
"Just for today, you can practice by yourself. It's already afternoon," the man said again.
Ye Jiao's lips twitched when she heard that it was already afternoon. Did it mean she spent the entire night and morning to reach rank 1? She never knew that it would take this long because her sense of time was dulled during the time she reached the first rank.
"I understand."
As the man disappeared from her vision, Ye Jiao jumped down from her bed and stretched her body. Her mind circulated as she counted the time she had been staying here. Right now, she is already nine years and two months old. She spent around seven to eight months on this hellish island.
Ye Jiao got out of the building after she had finished stretching her body. She went directly to the field and started to do basic movements that she used to practice with Mu Xin. After months of spending her time in this place, she started to miss the only friend she had.
In the end, she spent the entire day to make her body familiarized with the newfound strength she had.
"You're good."
The boy's voice caused Ye Jiao to turn around. She saw Lin Jie walking to her with an ashen expression. The two of them have been covertly competing against one another and so far, Ye Jiao won them all.
"Thank you for your compliment," Ye Jiao smiled.
Lin Jie looked at Ye Jiao in annoyance. In the forest, Ye Jiao always managed to hunt more wolves compared to him. Even in the climbing section, Ye Jiao had managed to use the higher ones. Comparing himself to Ye Jiao has been extremely taxing to him.
And now, she has reached rank 1 faster than him.
Even though Lin Jie has used all kinds of means to reach rank 1 faster by practicing his circulation often in the forest, Ye Jiao still surpassed him.
"When you come to the headquarter in the future, I'll show you that I'm not lacking behind you at all," Lin Jie proclaimed.
After they reached rank 1, they would return back to their master and learn from them directly. They could also choose to start doing the mission once they reached the second rank, which was why Lin Jie wanted to challenge Ye Jiao again when they started to do missions.
Ye Jiao smiled. "We shall see later."
"Don't worry. I won't be lagging behind too much," Lin Jie snorted and turned around to the dining hall. It was the time for dinner.
Towards this boy, Ye Jiao just shrugged and followed after him. She was not sure that she wanted to become a full-fledged assassin that did their work in the organization and pledge her loyalty completely. After all, her dream was to enter the academy at the northern side of the four kingdoms.
Well, she had to reach rank 3 first before anything.
Right now, all Ye Jiao wanted was to grow even stronger in order to leave this place. Slowly but surely, she was making her way to the top of the ladder.
…
The ship took longer to reach the island than what the man said before. Ye Jiao still did the same training as before, but this time, she could clearly sense the difference. She was able to move her body faster and used much more power than before.
At the same time, she had learned how to hide her presence much better. The wolves wouldn't be able to detect her even if she stayed near them. This allowed her to have a much more relaxed hunt, so Ye Jiao could focus her training on pushing her Eon Energy from her body outside.
Eon Energy Master rank 2 would be able to use their Eon Energy outside their body. It was the most defining characteristic of the next rank, so Ye Jiao just started learning to push them out of her body slowly.
"Ai Jiao, the ship is here," the man said to the girl. Even when waiting, Ye Jiao closed her eyes and circulated her Eon Energy.
"Yes."
Ye Jiao looked at the approaching ship with a smile on her small face. At last, she could leave this hellish place. Now, it was the time for her to see the result of her training in the first mission.
